SILVER ALIEN VAMPIRESS IS FITTING IN BRIDGES
Read my NEW BULLETIN ABOUT MY BELIEVERS.
Catself has a short Sellaband plan: 50 K by the end of 2009.
If you like my music, don't be afraid to invest. Don't wait till I'm at 40 K because it doesn't work if everyone is doing that.
If I am nowhere close to 50 K by the end of 2009, I won't blame you if you take your money out!
Album incentive: 10 parts = full album (10 tracks).
PLEASE READ MY FORUM POST ABOUT SELLABAND'S IMAGE IN FINLAND.
IMPORTANT: to some of the people in Finland I have contacted who misunderstood me. No, this is not a "pyramid scheme"... or a "cheating music site". Please look here and see the artists who have made albums this way, listen to their music... And here, at the ones who are now recording. Check out our radio, a volunteer project where I also work, helping other unsigned artists. This is real. I know Sellaband is not very well known in Finland yet and that money issues are VERY sensitive in Finland. Believe me, I hesitated a LOT before I asked anyone from Finland for help, although I live here and so do most of my friends and people I know. I asked you because I thought you MIGHT want to promote music coming from Finland here, on an international site. After such a short time here, I am on (page 5) UPDATE: page 4 out of over 600, (look) UPDATE: look here - I really do have a chance. If you help me, not only will you have my gratitude, my CD and some share in my revenues, but you will know you have helped to promote independent music coming from Finland in the world. And if you don't want to help me, it is your choice and your right - of course. I don't expect everyone to do that. But please don't condemn thousands of hardworking artists who are, through this site, trying to get a chance to start earning their living doing what they love and do best, and the people who are helping them. Like the people whose profiles you can see below - people from all over the world who I have never met who have invested in me because they like my music.
I have asked you to help if you would like to do it and if you like my music. If you wouldn't like to do it, just ignore my email and don't get offended because I have asked. You never know the answer until you ask the question...
Why don't I get a "real job", you might ask. I do those too. No, I have never been on an unemployment benefit or have never sought any such help from the Finnish state. You can check it... There is only one Agnieszka Holm in Finland.
I am just doing my best to start making my living doing what I love and am good at. I am entirely self-taught and have no contacts; at the moment this is the only possible start for me. Don't help me if you don't want to, but why be so negative? Couldn't Finland do with a few more good, original, passionate artists?
I know it's dark and gloomy outside but that is not my fault. So, don't be angry and just enjoy the music. I don't mind if you listen for free! :)
Agnieszka Holm - Catself
To Believers on Sellaband: I am still seriously aiming for 50 K by the end of 2009. And on my part I am doing all I can to get there by then. The rest is up to you!
INCENTIVES!! :)
If you buy 10 parts, you will get my self-produced album People Made of Air (10 tracks) on top of my Sellaband album. It will be sent to you next year. So, don't miss out on this offer!
And a SPECIAL OFFER: you will also get the album for only 5 PARTS if you find me AT LEAST ONE NEW BELIEVER. What do you think? Not a bad offer at all! Just tell that believer that I was recommended to him/her by you so that I know.
If you like my music - have faith in me as I have faith in you. I gave up the chance of a well-paid full-time job to do this. I couldn't be more serious about what I'm doing.
And if my budget looks small to you now - just think that just a bit over one month ago I wasn't yet here at all!
And two months ago none of the songs that you can listen to in my profile had been recorded or even composed.
So just think what Catself can do in a year.
Catself believes in Catself! And I believe you believe in Catself too!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Catself is Agnieszka Holm. I was born in Poland, moved to Finland soon after I grew up and happened not to move away, so it feels like having two home countries. I studied English at Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland, and University of Joensuu, Finland, and the brilliant instruction I received there probably helps me write my lyrics! :) (the smile is for my teachers if they ever come across this profile!) I always wanted to go to a music school, and never could understand some of my classmates who were bored with their piano lessons their parents were forcing them to go to! But it seems that it matters the most whether you have music in your head. I learnt to play the guitar by myself, and then learnt to play some other (easy :) ) instruments; now I'm learning the piano. I have done many things in my life, but music has always been with me and the times when I was not writing songs were not good times. Like many, I played for friends first, then started playing in pubs - in small towns of Finland, Ireland and Norway.
The realisation that music was far too important to me to be just a hobby and that if I didn't try to be more serious about something I love so much, I would regret it all my life, was becoming stronger and stronger. With every minute spent playing and singing, every song written, and, especially, every gig. So in the end I took a step further and started making proper recordings of my songs. At the same time, more and more songs got written.
I write my songs, words and music, sing and play all the instruments - a lot of them come from the synthesiser. I like to play with different styles, depending on the theme and mood of the song, and I decided to upload three very different songs here. Silver is my latest song, and has, I think, a bit of a folky feel. Bridges is a calm guitar soing, Alien Vampiress Is Fitting In - a song about how things may not be as they seem, and the music helps to express that. Bridges and Alien Vampiress are finished tracks, or as finished as they can be in my "studio"! Clown, which I had here earlier (available now only on MySpace) is a live mono recording that I have done nothing to.
This Sellaband project is part of my bigger project to make music more of a profession. I love doing other jobs too. And I think it's healthy for any artist. But I couldn't stand the thought that something which feels like the most right thing for me to do is something that I have to squeeze within the few hours between when I come back home from work and when I go to sleep. This is something I can do, want to do and want to share.
This project is something I am doing all by myself. I have no one helping me, no one promoting me, no big names to back me up. Still, I have decided not to work full time for at least one year in order to concentrate on music and give this project a serious chance. I treat is as my main job now, even though I am not really benefitting from it financially yet. I practice, make new songs, record and look for opportunities. And I am here. Not for fun. Not for adventure. For real.
If you have already heard my Alien Vampiress song, you may have guessed my fondness for horror. Have you seen Roman Polanski's film "Rosemary's Baby"? Do you remember that moment when Rosemary says... well, screams: "This is not a dream, this is really happening?"
This is not a dream. This is really happening.
I am not daydreaming. I have taken a decision about my life, and what I want to do, and this is happening. I am making things happen. And since I like the idea of this site, and have a lot of respect for it, have been its frequent visitor for quite some time and have supported it by buying CDs, supporting other artists and spreading the word about it wherever I go, I hope that some of what is going to happen is going to happen with Sellaband.
And that is up to you. It is real. Do you believe?
(My little friend Alien Vampiress says: "You'd better" :D )

Lyrics:
Note: if anything in these lyrics seems weird, that's because I have taken some concepts from different languages, legends, mythologies... You can ask me if you're curious, but I think it's better to just enjoy whatever pictures these songs bring to your minds ;) Enjoy!!!
Silver
Give me a silver mandoline
Give me a silver spoon
And all that I've gathered,
All my lucky tools.
Give me a silver lining,
The bonnet I was born in,
And all that I borrowed,
All that I owed.
Put it in a silver case
And a case in a silver van,
Drive it to the river,
Load up the canoe.
Lay me on a silver blanket,
Lay me face down,
So that my face faces
The flowing current.
Not the ruby of the rose,
Not the gold of the sun,
Not the copper of the fox,
It's silver that is mine.
I see silver, silver skies
And silver, silver water
With my silver eyes
I'm looking
Up
I was taken by surprise
So give me a silver mandoline,
Give me a silver spoon
And all that I've gathered,
All my lucky tools.
Give me a silver blanket,
The bonnet I was born in,
And put the arrow that pierced my lung
On top of my belongings.
Tuck it all in a silver case
And the case in a silver van,
Drive it to the river,
Load up the canoe.
Lay me on a silver blanket,
Lay me face down,
So that my face faces
The flowing current
I
I was shot from the back.
Alien Vampiress Is Fitting In
Oh, I know,
Elves are green,
Dwarves are red,
They live in houses of mushrooms and
Snow is white,
The sun is hot,
Strangers, they don't speak our language.
We breathe in air,
Women like men,
They wear dresses, sometimes skirts,
But not all that glitters is gold,
Look how much I know,
Look what a brain I have
Soon I'll speak to you,
I'll talk a bit,
Till I find out what makes you tick.
I'll smell your skin and then I'll know
How much it can pay me for my effort.
Your blood is red,
Your veins - they throb,
Your palm is open and you'll live long,
Because you're not quite my type,
You've no clue that I've just saved your life.
Oh, look what I know,
Look what I know,
I know everything about you all.
Now that I know all that I know,
I think I'll find some group to belong to.
They won't notice, they won't guess,
They'll never see how they fall in my nets,
How they get weaker with every drop
That gives me strength running down my throat.
'Cause I'm one of them when I look like them,
I speak like them and I sleep like them.
So when I bite, they won't shout -
That's what it's all about.
Clown - to be found on www.myspace.com/agnieszkaholm
I beg your pardon? Did your friend just say I look foolish?
No, I'm not offended, I just would like you to explain;
He's a drunk with a nose redder than mine, who is he to judge me?
Oh well, maybe I misheard it; I wasn't concentrating,
Thinking about someone extraordinary or something.
When asked what I am, I usually shy away from answering
Or I fall back on the pieces of clay all men were made of
At the beginning of time, and then I quickly change the subject,
For I'm a clown from a bankrupt circus.
See, it's hard to shake off the piss they take out of me when I'm working,
Even in a suit and tie and with no make-up I feel I should be joking,
And the tears that gush out my eyes I forget I'm not faking.
You flashed your eyes.
For a while I wished you could marry me.
The best girl in the world, I'm sure of that, and I'd like to be yours.
I watch as you move in this musical way between the tables
While it's my bread to trip over my toes.
Occasionally I wish I could be something different,
Still, I've got my pride and I don't care what you do
With this image of me which is as fake as this mask I'm used to wearing.
If I tell you more, at best you'll say: that sounds interesting.
At the end of the night you'll walk away clutching his elbow.
I'll be left with my wit that can hurt as these knives would if they hit me,
For I'm a clown,
I'm a clown,
I'm a clown from a bankrupt circus.
1st January 2009
Everyone who wrote to me, here and on the Forum, offering advice and encouragement - thank you. I really appreciate it. And I wish I could be happy all the time and not take notice of pointless insults but yep, I do. They affect me and the level of enjoyment I get out of being here.
So, I think this is a convenient coincidence:
I will be offline, completely or mostly, for some days from this morning onwards because I'll be travelling. When I'm back home or when I get online for long enough, I will read your comments and respond to the comments and mail!
When I get back home, I will soon write you a bulletin! How about that. And then - then I'll record new songs for you to listen to.
(I will also email a little surprise to the believer who has bought the most parts during the time I'm away and to one other believer - I will let my cat decide who it will be!
AND if I happen to get to 5 K while I'm away - ALL my believers who have bought parts during that time AND all my believers with 5 parts or more will get this very little surprise. What do you think of that? :) ).
And in the meantime - listen to TalentCast! :)
Don't miss it next Sunday! Or the Sunday after. Or the Sunday after the Sunday after. Listen to us! :)
I will! Although I'll be offline. How? Like a cat! Cats can do anything!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
30th December And today...
Please read the comment that was left on my page yesterday by a person called marac.
(If you like, read also what he had to say to ROOGA).
Update: ROOGA deleted marac's comment but I had saved it. Here it is:
"Well... you just did it again. Apparently your spamming is so intense you lost control of who you spammed already and whose webpages are still ahead of you to shit onto."
That was even worse than the comment I got, especially compared to the one I sent (which has been deleted by marac), was rather bad also. How am I supposed to feel after receiving it?
The funny thing is, I don't even spam. Stupidly, naïvely, knowing how insanely much time it sometimes takes and how much it limits the number of believers I can reach in a day I type each message separately. I read the believers' profiles, I check the artists they like, I think whether they might like what I do or not before contacting them to avoid wasting their time. I concentrate before writing each invitation, think I am talking to that person and I write.
I don't do copy-paste. Not because I think it's wrong on a site like this. No, it's perfectly understandable. I don't do it because I don't want one single believer to feel like I don't respect them. Because I do. And, also, because I don't want to be offended here.
And I have just been. Not for the first time, either, but for the first time in this way.
Now I would like to ask you, everyone who is reading this, what I should do:
a) close my profile - and I really, really wouldn't like to do it - ÿeah, there are other music sites but only this one has TalentCast
b) limit my activity on Sellaband to my voluntary work for www.talentcast.nl and my artist activity to uploading new songs and hoping people will come to listen to them without me sending invitations
c) realise it that so few appreciate the separately typed messages and SPAM brutally. Every day, in every way and everywhere.
What do you think?
Help me. I really don't know. I am, after all, still new.
27th December Today I have nothing more to say than this. PLEASE READ.
24th December I want to be rather quiet today. Apart from the TalentCast forum thread, you can still make some artists happy today! Look.
I have just listened to a new track by Witherless Rose, you should too!
22nd December CATSELF's Christmas Song Pick. Enjoy!
20th December Just realised I've been here for two months!
Should I sum up this time and make this blg window even longer?...
In terms of part-selling, I could have joined at a much better time. Why wasn't I ready with my songs a year ago? Why was I somewhere else, too busy to record music?
I came during the slow time, then this even slower time came when pages don't open and believers are suspicious of the changes, and artists suffer.
On the other hand, if I had joined earlier, would I have met the same people and made the same friends? And would I be the same person now if I hadn't had the experiences I had last year?
I don't think I would swap last year and meeting some of the people I met then, and my travels and gigs for a chance of an easier success on Sellaband.
And I would not swap my involvement with TalentCast and everything related to it for it, either.
Having said that. Two months, 3240 $. Now I have proven myself, haven't I? I don't want to be here for 2,5 years. I want my Cat Fans to get their LECDs, and I want you, my Believers, to make some money on me soon. I want to record my second album already in 2,5 years. I will definitely have enough songs by then, and good ones.
So I have to get serious and practical here. And tell you all that yes, I need support and yes, I want to reach 50 K by the end of 2009 and no, you are not going to regret a single part you buy from me! :)
Happy second month birthday on Sellaband, Catself! :) - from Catself.
18th December So! yesterday's gig left me craving for more, and soon!! :)) In the meantime, I have been doing other things which I will soon tell you about. It is a pretty big thing and not just for me in this case, but for all artists here. Believe me (and in me too :D ) - there are some nice surprises coming. I'll keep you impatient and excited for now. Stay tuned!
16th December The festival is over but great cat days are not. Today was another one - first an important meeting (can't tell more right now but I will soon, and I think this will be something everyone will be happy about!), then a sound check before tomorrow's gig. I hadn't expected such great equipment so I was really surprised!
What else? - I made another new song yesterday. I can't record it till I get home but maybe I can post the lyrics? What do you think - would you like to first read the lyrics (they are important) or just post the song whenever it's recorded? And I spent the rest of the money from the EPs on a drum. It was time to buy one. And now I'd better play and practice before tomorrow's gig.
13th December Yesterday was a great Cat Day!
I normally refrain from writing long posts here because the format discourages it; it's a bit scary to see this tab getting longer and longer! But this time I can't help myself. Listen to this.
I am now attending a folk festival in Lublin, Poland. Great music, great atmosphere - I've got to tell you something: even if you absolutely can't stand folk music, if you ever find yourselves in Poland in the first half of December, GO. But be warned: you'll leave loving it. Guess how I would know it? :D I was a hard rock and heavy metal addict when I attended the festival for the first time, having won two tickets to all the concerts in a local radio station's what's-this-song competition (yeah, used to win those all the time :D ). Now I travel there from Finland every year. This time I took my EPs to sell and! - my favourite ever folk band offered to sell them for me at their stall where they had only their own CDs! That was a very big honour. They are a very well-known and appreciated band and have played for years; they are also the host of the festival. Do check them out; you can find some of their music for example on YouTube. And if you like them and would like to have their CDs, just get in touch with me soon because they'll be still selling them at the festival today and on Sunday so I could get you some and mail them to you.
That was not the end, and guess what happened next? I got a gig for next Wednesday. I am not superstitious but I am hardly surprised: just when I don't have my own mic with me or even the guitar cable (I like to take these things with me especially when I travel by car!), a gig happens just like that. Maybe that's the way to go? That would mean a lot of gigs might happen to me on this trip.
Did anything else happen yesterday? Oh yes. But maybe this is enough for now for this blog!
By the way, it's Lucia's day today so you can visit her and say hi!
8th December A little technical crisis will prevent me from writing the Alternative Chart Analysis tonight. I would like to do it but I am on a boat right now and the wireless internet is a little slow. It takes 10-15 mins to open a page and perhaps that's why the forum doesn't open for me at all.
Even at home, with the fast broadband connection, believers' profiles took still very long for me to open today and so did the mailbox. I hope this will change for the better because it makes contact with believers difficult.
I am doing a little travelling - with my laptop, guitar and promo EPs. Part of it is private trips, part - promotion work. I will be letting you know about all the more interesting things happening in this blog and in my bulletins!
7th December Just about to edit the video I am making for you. It should be ready tonight. I'm still at 3 K, so it won't be very spicy, but I will keep an eye on the parts and in case something interesting happens, I can still slip some spicier bits in! I will announce it the moment it's uploaded.
5th December Today I was already able to access some believers' profiles in a matter of minutes and not hours. That was an improvement compared to the start of the week!
I have been playing, singing - made up a new song yesterday - yep, another one! - and I will have an incentive about it one day but not yet! - right now, my Spicy Video Incentive is still on. How spicy will my video be?... It's very exciting because - I don't yet know myself!! It's all up to my believers. We'll all find out this weekend.
1st December Lucia Iman reached 50 K just some - 3 h ago?... Let me not talk about myself for a while here and just happily contemplate :))
28th November Full album for 5 parts only till Nov 30! More info here. And I am just working on a little... no, a BIG surprise for you. I'll wait till I'm at 3 K before I let you see it... yesss... SEE it. ;)
27th November My patience has ended. My voice is still not back, not enough to use it, so today I'll start making an instrumental piece. And guess what I'm going to do with it?... Something you will like - I think!
INCENTIVE UPDATE: This information is rather far down so here once again for new believers: I offer my self-produced album People Made of Air (10 tracks) to all believers who will buy at least 5 parts by November 30. To those who buy 10 parts, I also offer three bonus tracks, a booklet with lyrics and a signed photo! The album will be sent next year, as soon as it is finished - it is not ready yet and I have had to put off the recording because of the 'flu which has lasted unusually long. I will resume working on the album as soon as possible and will send it to your homes as soon as it's finished! So, on top of my Sellaband album in the future, you willl still receive an extra album from me already in the first months of next year!
And it's going to be a very different album, not only because it will be self-produced. The atmosphere will be different - the songs that are in my player now already differ from the older ones that will be on People Made of Air. So, I think it's going to be quite interesting - don't miss out on the chance of getting this unique gift from me! :)
24th November One month till Christmas! And I'm still sick. I know it's getting boring! For me too!! Today, I've listened to the Akibas. Not on Sellaband, I listened to their CD which you can get if you buy 5 parts from them. 11 beautiful tracks - it's really worth it!!
22nd November Still sick - so sad! I want to sing and record!
I'm listening, for the third time in a row already, to Wintersong by Lucia Iman - absolutely beautiful. Do you know Winter by Tori Amos? Wintersong is better. That is the song that you get as an mp3 if you buy a part. I'm so happy I have it. If it appears on the Sellaband album, it'll be a different version. I'm proud to have this one; I love it.
21st November This morning I've listened to Ahmond - great new music! I'm still sick so I have to put off the recording for a few more days... Please keep your fingers crossed for me getting better very soon! I can't wait to record these new songs for you.
20th November So... I've been on Sellaband for a month now! I wish I was feeling better now and could celebrate this! But you celebrate, my visitors... for example by playing all the songs in the player (especially that I'm going to change one soon, so one will have to be removed) and by treating yourselves to some champagne or wine or chocolate or whatever you have there close to your computer! Oh, and birthday presents are of course welcome, too! :)
18th November Sometimes even Cats Catselves get attacked by a nasty autumn/winter virus. That's what happened to me. I hardly ever get sick but when I do, it's awful. I can't talk and I can't look at the screen longer than a moment. But my fingertips are fine so I've been practicing the piano a bit and I can't wait to record that song for you that I've nearly finished... I think you're going to like it. But I'll record the guitar song first, when the virus decides to give me my voice back!
By the way, is no one trying the riddle any more? I guess you've all given up! I'll tell you all the answers when I've reached 2,5 K!
17th November I had a great weekend talking, jamming and catwatching with my friend and believer Harry S. Silver with the accordion - cat you imagine it? It sounded awesome.
13th November Riddle update. Two believers have solved it by now:
12.11.2008, 5.40 am Ray Baisden - first winner!!!
13.11.2008, 10.22 pm Naf of Laudanum Forest
Congratulations!!! - and keep trying!!!
I will post the answers when I have reached 2,5 K.
And the riddle is below, in case you don't know it yet:
12th November Here's my big dark secret. Just listen to this.
I am a radioactive alien with laser eyes.
It is ALL TRUE!!!
??????????????how???????????????????
If you KNOW the answer, message me, buy 1 part and I'll send you all my three songs plus the one I'm working on right now!!
If you DON'T know the answer, buy two parts and I'll tell you... Okay, you'll get the mp3s too! :)
Posting the answer on a public page is not allowed!
Until now, one believer has solved the riddle:
5.40 am Ray Baisden - congratulations!!! Ray solved the riddle at first try.
...Come on, keep guessing! It is not impossible!
11th November ...something that happened today made me think of an incentive...
10th November Here's the news. I have just been interviewed by the Finnish radio YLE X about Sellaband and our radio TalentCast. They contacted me as I am the top Finnish artist - after only 3 weeks here! Hopefully it will result in more Finnish people finding out about Sellaband and joining, and more believers for all of us! :)
Isn't that great?!
7th November 1 K.... I like spiders! :))
Today listened to Laudanum Forest. About 10 times to every song they have here. If you haven't heard them, you'd better go and listen. And if you have heard and liked them, listen again. After another listen, you like them even more. After the tenth time, you fall in love. After 15 times, you might get crazy and buy 100 parts, so, as I am not yet swimming in a sea of dollars, euros and zlotys, I'd better stop listening, log off and proceed with music of my own.
5th November Today - playing... practicing... but answering all messages! ;)
Update: not much time to do the first two. But - doing something exciting.
4th November I am not sure any more if the new song will be the one I will upload next. I would replace Bridges with it then, so that would mean I would have one song about death, one about death and killing and one about killing and eating people. What do you think, my believers and listeners - do you want a song about something else for a change?...
Tonight listened to: America by Aryn Calhoun, You're an Idiot by Annie Bacon and Somewhere by Sonul Badiani.
3rd November Just finished a new song - can't wait to record it.
2nd November Alien Vampiress Is Fitting In is the Song of the Week on TalentCast!! It was such a surprise to hear it this morning. Thank you, the wonderful Crew of TalentCast: MissY, John and Johan for running this very special radio and for doing so much work to promote unsigned artists. For putting so much of your time and soul into it. Alien Vampiress says thank you too...
1st November
Status: working (playing... singing... improvising... practising...).
Mood: grateful.
Location: over the moon.
Today listened to: Lucia Iman, Son de mar.
Today saw: a massive shooting star cutting across the sky and then exploding in the middle of it like the New Year fireworks.
I give it to all of you who have visited, and will visit this page today. And tomorrow. And the day after.
Make a wish.
31st October Hey - what a great day! I sold three parts. Two of them to an artist, which I appreciate so much because I know what a hard decision it is here for an artist! We love music, and we listen to so much music here every day, check out newcomers, fall in love in what they do... and we just can't buy all the parts we want... and it hurts. So - when an artist buys my part - or supports me in any way, already now when I am still so new here - I really appreciate it.
If you are here and haven't heard Seeus yet, please check them out. Really good music, worth listening to. And people. :)
.............
(night 30/31st Oct) I have visited this site for over a year. I randomly clicked on bands, just to check what they played. Sometimes I read their profiles. I have seen some artists succeed. And during the last week and a half I saw so many very good artists leave, or think about it.
All of the artists in the latter group have one thing in common.
Their blog.
So I will just smile at you, visitors and believers, a big, big smile, like this: :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) , so that you know that I am both active and positive,
and say nothing ;)
29th October I'm working on my new four songs, some of which may appear on the album I will record for my very special believers who have bought 5 parts by the end of November!
Something happened yesterday as I was looking for new believers who might enjoy the music I make. I was contacted by a Finnish bassist and composer who suggested doing a collaboration with me, in the style which is different from what I normally do, but it would be very interesting. So, I hope something cool will come out of it. I'm excited and very happy that my music project is going so well. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow! So, stay tuned! ;)
28th October It quite interests me to know when people get their song ideas, so I thought I'd tell you when that happens to me. There are three situations when new songs start coming to my head: when I'm in the shower; when I'm walking; when I'm playing the guitar and don't feel like playing any of the songs I know or have made. When I've got the guitar in my hands, the song usually gets written straight away, and then I may change some things around on the next day. All the songs I have in my profile were created like that.
I got two ideas when I was walking back home today and I am going to play around with them now. Don't expect new songs here too soon; not that many believers, not even many of those who I managed to contact and invite here during the last week, have had a chance to heard them yet, and I like these songs, so I'm not in a hurry to remove them yet. But since I am working on my full 10-track album for some of my believers (=> incentive in my Info section), new songs will come in handy! I was first going to put only my older songs there, but now I think I may consider changing my mind... Who knows, maybe the album will hold even more tracks than 10?... We'll see... Anyway, those believers who already now have the courage to buy five parts have something good to be looking forward to!!
27th October
So, the new song is finished and uploaded! And I have posted my first bulletin, containing a very generous offer for my believers. That will give me a new goal - making an album - and to my believers, one more reason to believe!
...
The incentive has been successful so far, bringing me one new believer, Dirk de Jong. Once again thank you, Dirk!! Let's see what tomorrow brings.
26th October, 2 am
Got back from a fantastic concert of Hanna Marsh - check her out on www.myspace.com/hannamarsh, she's an AMAZING artist and the beauty of her songs makes me cry every single time. Live she sounds about 10 000 better than in those recordings on MySpace - no kidding.
Otherwise I've been tweaking with the new song, the guitars especially.
According to my regime which one has to have when one works mostly at home, Sunday is my day off. I'm trying to be strict about that. So, no spamming, a bit of work on that song but that's about it. If you see me here, feel free to pinch my tail.

No, I'm haven't just got up to finish the new song for you, I'm going to bed! The song will be ready on Saturday! And put up on my profile Sunday night!! So stay tuned! And make sure you've read about my offer in the Info section...
22nd October 2008
Another great day on Sellaband - I am so happy the start has gone so well! I am at 140$ as I'm writing these words, thanks to my new believers - Viiglet1, Sommersby, Gert van Herp, Johan Jongerius and Hans van Nuffelen - thank you all once again!
I also received some great comments from believers and fellow musicians, and being compared to Julia Marcell really made my day!! I have been Julia's fan since the moment I heard her songs from "Storm", and when I listened to the lyrics, I thought we must be kindred spirits - I think we have somewhat similar ways of putting things in words, and we also like to experiment with instruments. I am thrilled to be compared to her.
I'm hoping for another good day!
21st October 2008
So my first day on Sellaband has come to an end - and a good day it has been! Thank you, Ossi T, Ed the Cheesehead and Christer! Besides selling some parts, I have got some wonderful comments from believers and fellow musicians; thank you for making me feel welcome!
I have uploaded some more photos of Catself and the Finnish autumn sun! - just to show you I don't exactly look like that vampiress I'm singing about!
20th October 2008, 2.10 am Finnish time...
I have joined Sellaband!
