The aptly-named "Calm" is very soothing and relaxing to
listen to, but won't put you to sleep - the unusual chord progressions
in a couple places keep things interesting, and the pace isn't too slow. "Psalm" has a LOT more variety. Its beautiful eerie opening really showcases the range of their sound. It quickly lightens up though and gets into more of a laid-back groove, then just keeps on changing in a very natural way. These guys are great at setting moods and creating whole compositions with a great variety of sound rather than a simply-structured song. |
