Aryn Calhoun began writing music at the age of 15 years old and now she just can’t stop. She’s thus far written, co-produced and released six albums of her own original material. Many describe her style as alternative pop with a flavor of country and a pinch of jazz. Not only does she write music but she sings, plays the piano, guitar and is picking up the harmonica! While she was interning at Word Records in Nashville she teamed up with professional producer Drew Cline to release two cutting edge tracks. After graduation Aryn worked on a jazz influenced EP with producer Neal Mann that is not yet released. Aryn is a graduate of Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Music and Communication, took a year to work for the AmeriCorps and focus on touring around Austin, Texas. She currently is pursuing a certificate from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with majors in Songwriting and Music Synthesis.

"So Clearly" is Aryn (Campbell) Calhoun's sixth full-length album and is her first attempt of getting behind the wheel and being her own record producer/mixer/arranger and sound designer. It features 13 original tracks that have a full band complete with some dramatic violin solos (provided by Maddy Zani) and dynamic guitar solos (provided by John Taylor). The subject matter for this album has much to do with the new focus and direction Aryn's life has taken after getting married, moving to Boston, and started studying at the Berklee College of Music. She feels as though she is beginning to see God's plan for her life unfold much more "clearly." All the songs on the cd were written during her first semester at Berklee and recorded during her second.

Thanks to Karen and Steve and Greta for a total of 12 parts today! moving right along! Today I finally broke down and started recording my first track using ProTools (instead of GarageBand) for audio. It's a little confusing and a lot of extra work, but be looking for some higher quality tracks coming soon!

Thanks to Eremit for 3 parts and helping me reach $500!! I'll be catching a plane on Saturday for a summer of touring and teaching music lessons. Hooray for summer and Texas heat! I also wanted to mention that all my newest songs can be sampled through Aime Street/ITunes and Cd Baby, believers please give your input and let me know which tracks you think will be the best to post to my profile here and showcase my sound.

I uploaded my first video yesterday!! due to some tech difficulties with the sellaband website, it's taking some time to load...but be on the lookout for it today or tomorrow. It's a video of one of my newest songs, I hope you enjoy it and I hope it helps all of you get to know me a little better!

As many of you know, I'm almost finished with my first year of grad school work at the Berklee College of Music. I'm excited to be returning home to Texas for a summer of gigging and teaching music lessons. Also, be on the lookout for videos coming to my page soon!
