Who is aUstiN bRoWn?
aUstiN bRoWn is an up and coming electro indie-rock artist based out of Dallas Texas. You may remember Austin from his time on the 2003-2004 Vans Warped Tour as the guitarist for A Faith Called Chaos (Volcom Entertainment). Austin Brown is the first artist to distribute his music on a jump drive, or usb flash drive. Realizing that cd sales were only going to continue to fall, Austin decided it would be the perfect time to offer his fans something useful to their lives, and as a bonus the flash drive has the mp3s preloaded on it, along with the album artwork and the lyrics. Nova Dreamer, the album, is also available for digital download, in case fans already own a flash drive.
What does the music sound like?
This is always the million dollar question. I would like to think it sounds like Beck, but I don't think that is entirely accurate. What I mean when I say that, is that it embodies the spirit of the music Beck does. Nova Dreamer is a rock record at heart; However, it does incorporate many electronic elements. One of my favorite reviews of the album called it a mix between INXS and ZZ Top, which was very flattering to me.
Who is better Beck vs. Austin Brown?
I'd say Beck, but I'll let you decide. Also its a worth while mention to download the bands personal toolbar as there will be freebies and exclusives available no where else in due course.

I found you while I was checking out all SixPack artists. I enjoyed myself listening to your songs. An interesting sound, and you'd never guess who you reminded me of - PJ Harvey!!! Something about the vocals and how they're processed.

These guys ooze Rock with a core competence in many areas of music, they are also a bloody gr8 and cool guys to boot and bring a unique sound to the Rock genre.
