Don't know what to say about Banshee but I am very happy their music gets a chance around here, it really deserves it!

I always thought that Celtic Bands lived in Ireland. Since I have listened to the great music of Banshee Celtic Band I know: the greatest Celtic Band is from Poland!
Greenheart CD - Banshee Celtic Band 17.06.08 155
For each CD EP Greenheart sold at our shows and via www (from march 2008), we invest one part. You can estimate how many SAB albums we could sell - with proper marketing (we dont do any marketing besides of playing gigs so far).
We started to invest this way march 2008.

I've heard lots of great Celtic music over the years.  Banshee Celtic Band fits right in there with the best of them!

Real musicians who know how to play their instruments. Some tunes just for listening and some tunes to dance to. Make sure you get their GreenHeart CD (incentive) and get to listen to it on a good HiFi (or even better surround) set to really hear their quality tunes. Great for making a party with the audience.

Very good marketing plan too, they prove they can sell CD's every week.

The traditional folk music of Celtic origins is a life-force!  And the 'banshee' warned me ... so I've kept her happy and now I believe !!!!

If their music hasn't convinced you, take a look at this ;)
On top of it in my own small way* 14.04.08 1
Energy, fun, dancing, everything a folkband needs. Great  act for festivals and clear plans for their SAB and after 50K future. The'll do what needs to be done and play heartwarming, feetmoving, thirstymaking Irish folk as well. And nice and friendly people to boot. They seriously challenge my one part an artist (exept for Orange Radio of course) strategy.

Everytime I listen to BCB I look forward to have my horse, sword and dragon to kill. Oh, believe... from now on my ears are growing pointed...!

Enchanting and joyful music.

Celtic folk done real well.

Banshee Celtic Band bring out the scottish in me! Their inimitable music is unique, powerful and catchy with a huge reliance on past sounds but with a contemporary edge.

Their eclectic instrumentation is second to none and whats more they have a genuine delight and passion for music- which flows through the sound beautifully.

The vocals are powerful, and draw comparisons so a variety of irish artists. But also develop an individual element and personality.

The music is a mixture of a variety of genres- from Celtic to rock, from pop to folk. Their music is surely not for everyone, but its certainly one of the most powerful acts that Sellaband has to offer.

Banshee Celtic Band provide a sound that is universally recognizable, but so commonly ignored- and hopefully Sellaband will provide a platform on which the band can provoke a dedicated fanbase and a career of which they have an obvious passion for.

I'm glad that I'll receive a copy of their debut album post-50K and i'm sure that anyone who listens to 'Whiskey In The Jar' will certainly agree that this band have more than talent- they have a love of music.
Just curious* 04.04.08 1
Celtic folk from Poland. Can they perform "with" the audience or what? And they are proving they can sell CD's, even keeping the score for us.

Polish Celtics, a sight to see with their audience on their video's. Thats performing with your audience for you.
Dominic & Conny 08.03.08 1

They play very rhytmic and wonderful music!

First time I heard them, I could refuse to let my foot swing with it!

Their skills should be revealed to a larger audience at SAB!

Ireland in Poland YAY!
Przemek - Banshee whistler 29.02.08 5
Fiery fiddling, haunting whistling, groovy piping... we try to mix all the best in celtic music and add a bit of our polish soul. And we do believe in our music. We are happy you believe too!

Truly I need an Irish pub in which to listen to this properly.

It may not be quite in the "main stream", but if you enjoy good celtic music (and really, if you don't, what's wrong with you?), then I think you'll agree this band should make a great addition to the SAB line-up.  I, for one, want this album to get made.

I first heard Banshee's vocals in their version of Whiskey in the Jar (as of this writing, posted as one of the three tracks on their SAB player).  On a first listen, I caught myself distracted that the vocals' accent isn't what one's accustomed to hearing in a celtic song.  Unconventional, perhaps, but as I listened a second time, I found myself coming around to qutie like the unusual (in my experience, at least) combination.

Celtic music from Poland, how exiting!
Vincent B 23.02.08 1
Banshee's success is the Sellaband dream: a worldwide market for non-commercial, but very professionally made music.  A Polish band playing Celtic jigs - how could they not stand for the future of international music!?  Sellaband diversity forever!
Kim 'Cyberon' Groenbek 18.02.08 10
This is really great and well performed Celtic music.
Xander Mol 04.12.07 20
Lots of good things coming from Poland lately at SAB, but this is truly outstanding: close your eyes and think you are in one of those great pubs in Ireland with a live band, only this time with even better music and clearly not from Ireland.
Richard Markham 02.12.07 2
Celtic instrumental music from Polish 6-piece.  Whatever next!
