Songs For A New Century

...but fortunately no Morris Dancing.

Morris has been on my wish list for quite a while and I’m now glad that I’ve been converted to a believer.  I don’t suppose many artists like being ‘compared’ to another  - often more famous - artist but it’s always a useful reference point for new or unfamiliar listeners.  For me Morris evokes memories of George Michael’s album Songs From The Last Century where George reinterprets in a more soulful and jazz style classic songs from the last century.  Perhaps in Morris we have a modern artist who is going to set standards in vocals and song writing that can lay down classic songs for this century.  I certainly hope so.
