Marc Verwaerde is an incredibly talented man. His voice is like a lazy drip of honey oozing out of a pot, but purified honey, clean and clear and warm. his guitar playing is classic and gorgeous, part early-Beatles, part Leonard Cohen, listening to him makes me think of Nina Simone's version of Tom Thumb's Blues. and he obviously has a great group of musicians around him. if he isn't famous eventually, there's something wrong with how the world defines talent. | ||||||

this woman is amazing. her voice strikes me at first as quirky and then
soars into these gorgeous melodic riffs that sound like she's spent
half her life in Ireland and the other half in India - she's not
working with a traditional chromatic scale & its all the
in-betweens that make the hair on my arms stand up. the songs are
innovative and interesting. I think she's my favorite find yet here on
SAB. she's the reason I made a Believer account. | ||||||

A big warm hello!
and just a note to tell you that I have a new song I would love you to hear. It is a crazy, revved up remix of my serene "Angel" and completely different from the original. It is totally unusual for me too - like a happy accident really, but very sensuous with exotic notes of the orient and I really wanted to share it here. It will add spice to a great night out on the town or make you want to dance with someone real close. Or at least that's what it makes me feel, so I thought I'd play it for you. It was born out of too many late nights of passionate brainstorming in the studio. So please listen for yourself and let me know what you think. if you like it jump on board and i will give you the song to have for your own '-)

The song talks about thoughts of escaping in this world,
And then realizing that there's no place left to escape to.
