Hi there Hog Farm,

I'll bet a dollar that's not your real name. I used to own a smaller acreage, literally next door to a 60 acre hog farm, near Chilliwack, B.C. I remember my wife and I waking up one morning, not long aafter buying the house and thinking "Hey, what's that smell?" Our neighbours were really nice people and we got used to the occasional aromas.

I came across your profile and thought this looks different. It's an interesting profile you have. In fact it's better than many of the artist profiles around..including mine. I like the rules you have in your blog. They're to the point with no foggy areas. I have much the same guidelines in my believer profile. I've already seen your MySpace site too. It's equally fascinating. I live up in the mountains, in Canada, about 20 miles as the crow flies, from Mt Baker, Washington. Up here, I can't yet get high speed internet, so I'll try my best to take a look at some of the interesting links and stuff you have available, but I'll have to do it gradually. Anyway, on to music....

I launched my own artist profile recently and at the risk of boring you, I'll provide some information about my project here. If you have a few minutes to spare, I invite you to listen to my music.

"Without You" is a complex, romantic, mysterious sounding song. It builds gradually, with a fancy instrumental bridge in the middle. Musically, it is reminiscent of Chris Rea's blues sound and vocally, I have been told, similar to Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.

"Dance The Night Away" is an upbeat song, which counters the moodiness of "Without You". Two different versions of this song are temporarily featured to give listeners the opportunity to follow it's progress as I update it. If you prefer one version over another, please let me know because that version (mainly a drumming difference) is what I will keep.

I have numerous songs ready to be recorded and I'm eager to get a (different) third song posted because I realize having variety is important. The third song should be up soon. I recorded this stuff with limited technical gear in my own living room. I've since found a small local studio, so that should help for future demos. I hope you like the music I currently have featured and thanks for listening.
