There is a LOT of great music here on Sellaband. But, Mandyleigh is my favorite artist so far. "Deep Sea Green" is by far my favorite. You owe it to yourself to give a listen. |

Mandyleigh was the first Australian artist to raise $50K. She has a heart of gold and splendid vocals. She has an amazing range and her vocals shine on tracks like "Deep Sea Green", "Cry Hard" and "Winter's Day."
I hope that Mandyleigh gets the success that she deserves. She puts her heart and soul into her songs and has really delivered with this CD.
Download the CD - it will be the best $3.50 that you have spent in a long time! |

APPALLING that local radio stations aren't beating down Mandyleigh's door (yet). WOEFUL that a CD this D&M is so cheap! GUTTED to have to wait for the second one! SO REFRESHING to discover a clean, professional act like Mandyleigh who doesn't use sex to sell (she oozes class), just an impressive vocal range, tight lyrics and the right mix of talented muzos etc hailing The Storm. DIG the graphics, too. All power to you sister. peabee xOx |

Mandyleigh has an amazing voice and her lyrics are about her life experiences. She has put blood, sweat and tears into her music and it comes through (I know a very cliche thing to say) but absolutely true.
Support her and buy her CD as you won't regret it. |

From the moment I stumbled upon Mandyleigh's page, to noticing the cover of the upcoming cd (which is now released). I was enchanted by what I saw and felt, and heard. There is something of a celtic feel about her, yet she holds the power of one of the greatest eras of music (the 60's and 70's). I am very impressed when I read that she recorded with live musicians, not much that was overdubbed. This woman has the ability to brings tears to my eyes when she hits certain notes as well as listening to her music and watching her. Mandyleigh is in a class of her own yet I do hear influences. Of the production values, I was so impressed with what I heard that I said to myself I wished that when I reached 50k, I could use the same ones as her! LOL. Mandyleigh, I hope this album does well. I know it has to. You deserve it. Everyone on sellaband and beyond needs to own a copy of this one. It's worth it. I downloaded the tracks, and am willing to buy the cd when I get a few dollars more just because I feel guilty buying it for the price of $3.50. It's worth ALOT more than that! BUY THIS ALBUM NOW! |

I've been listening to your album when I can, since I downloaded it..... and I'm not getting tired of listening to it, which is a very good sign of the quality your team have produced. It really takes you on a journey through a number of different styles all held together by yourself and the musicians. It really is a cd to be proud of. My favourite song keeps changing so I won't say what it is right now.... just the more I listen to it, the more I love this album and the more nuances I hear in the music and melodies. Timeless. |

Has Mandyleigh Storm something to do with the big ladies of contemporary music in 70’s (Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchel)?
Well, yes because as she said her new album Fire & Snow has a rootsy, modern hippy, 60`s/70`s approach and feel.
Not only, because she has her own (strong) personality and her music is a creative development of these roots.
Fire and Snow has been recorded almost live (something rare these days), the producer Mick Glossop has done a fine job in presenting Mandyleigh music in the best way and preserving the “animal” in her.
The musicians Johnny Scott (Van Morrison) Liam Genockey (Steeleye Span) Tim Harries (Steeleye Span) James Lascelles (Frank Zappa) have done a superlative performance
The opening of the album, Deep Sea Green, brings me into a western atmosphere (beautiful textures of guitars and banjo, outstanding voice of Mandy ) and there’s no doubt that this song is a highlight, for sure one of the best candidate for a single or to be broadcasted on radio.
Winter’s Day is the longest song, remarkable for the many changes of tempos and strong guitar parts: here you can appreciate Mandyleigh temperament.
Alive is a sentimental song smoothly sung. Go With It has soul. Which Way: an unplugged ballad with a light piano. Bright Sunny Day, bluesy. Keep The Silence, ok I try, but this songs makes me move!
Cry Hard, another longer, harder, rock song, Amazing vocals on distorted guitar, my passion!
The ballad Let It Go and Grey, a wonderful excursus into Mandyleigh sentiment and soul, bring you to the end of this amazing journey. |

I had high expectations for Mandyleigh and this production exceeded everything I thought was coming. Every aspect stands solidly alone - lyrics, voice, instrumentation - add them together and this is an absolutely stunning powerhouse debut. Every single song is beautifully produced, perfectly executed, and magical.
Mandyleigh will be a world renowned diva of the century if her sheer talents and her believers have anything to say about it. |

It is a treat and a dream to listen to some music that you can understand, whistle, dance and sing to. Something with love emotion and feeling, like we were able to in the `good old days`. We can not place the era for which this album belongs... For us it is "Mandyleigh Storm". We love that Mandyleigh is eclectic and we would not judge her with any other singer. She is an individual in the music industry. We love every song. No doubt in our minds that there could be 2 or 3 songs to hit the charts with the promotion and marketing it deserves, and with the artwork you have a complete package. With our love and blessing walk forward into the `worlds audience`. They are waiting... |

Simply outstanding. It has elements of many types of music (rock, funk, folk, country) all fused together by Mandyleigh Storm's exceptional voice. Her lyrics and melodies are beyond words. Well done!! Takes me back to the late Sixties. |

Put together a famous producer (of Van Morrison, Frank Zappa etc), a brilliant singer/songwriter with an amazing range and depth, some super musicians (from Van Morrison, Frank Zappa, Steeleye Span, Katie Melua etc), let them all rehearse for 4 days then record all together LIVE in Dean St Studio (David Bowie) with songs done in 1 - 3 takes, mixed by Mick and then Mastered by Kevin Metcalfe (Queen, The Who, Paul McCartney, U2 etc) and what have you got?? "Fire & Snow".
$3.50 is a steal... buy it now!
Simply brilliant and NO CHEATING. |

Talking about quality music at Sellaband! I would not be surprised if it this album will turn out to be a major step in the breakthrough of Mandyleigh. Met her in person and saw her play live. The producer did right to who she really is, you can hear the personal touch in everything she does. |

Fire & Snow by Mandyleigh Storm simply brilliant! There isn't a lesser song on this CD. A rich sound, beautifully expressive vocals and the arrangements are pure genius!
Play this CD out loud, feel the emotions, be suprised by the variety and harmony, each song has its own outstanding quality that needs to be heard, as words are hard to describe why this is simply "damn good music", to quote Martin Nicholas. Play it on repeat, play it loud, again and again and be wrapped in a blanket made from music! |
