Keep up the good music

I am one of those that have no specific taste in music, i am open to almost all genres ranging from Celtic Folk music, jazz, classical, rap, hard rock, i never reject a piece of music before i have actually heard it and figured out if it is worth listening to, however even if a piece of music is not something i would buy, it doesn't mean that i won't recognize that it as an exellenct piece of music. Making good music that i like isn't equal to me believing or wish listing you, for lack of better words i also look for the X-factor or hunch that puts you "over the edge"

Making it to my wish list does mean that i will be keeping an ear out for you, and eventually once a new budget opening comes around i will concider you all again. Some might be told that they aren't wish list material but are close, to them i urge to contact me again if you upload new songs.

Yes that is right, i came in hot believing a lot the first month, and once the artists i believe in go 50K any revenue will be reinvested in Sellaband music. I have placed a lot of believing in SellaBand artists, and it will continue.

A Little about me

My Real name is Kim Groenbek (Real Real name is Kim Grønbek), but for ease of use i allways use OE instead of Ø (Danish special letter) when dealing with non-danish sites.

I Currently work as a programmer for the largest bank in Denmark - Danske Bank.

Native Language: Danish

Also speak and write English (obviously) and i can think in it, which makes it easy to follow conversations and read because most of the time i don't need to spent time trying to translate it.

I can understand French and German to a degree, just don't talk to fast, and give me time to use the dictionary on the more difficult words. I might be able to have a simple conversation in German, but wouldn't attempt one in french.

In my work i talk with or read both Swedish and Norvegian, so i have adapted some skill in understanding them, but those languages are very similar to Danish so once you understand the differences it is easy. It is pretty commen for us in Denmark, Sweden and Norway to talk with each other using our own native language. Imagine as an outside to hear 3 people having a conversation using what appears to be 3 completly diffferent languages and they understand each other.

I am a dedicated pen & Paper roleplayer since i was 16, i have played

• Dungeons & Dragons (3rd Edition) - Many characters, even GM'ed a high powered campaign, where one of the characters ended up as a demi-god, dispite another characters attempt to prevent it.
• Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (2nd Edition), actually played my first games in that one.. sigh those where the days.
• Shadowrun - Actually my nick Cyberon was my first Shadowrun charactes name, played a decker, also played a physical adept with an anger problem, he eventually found that a life in the shadows was to taxing on his mental health, so after a nasty run into the Renraku Arcology, the team was standing and congratulating each others, discussing what to do next, and allthough he could barely walk, he simply walked away from the team and into the night never to return (great moment though). Currently GM'ing a campaign.
• Merp (Middle Earth - Tolkiens world) played a hobbit who was a great herbalist and doctor, when the game finished he was an acomplished swordsman who could defend himself against even the best, allthough he had to let the warriors in the group do the actually damage :-D, we played in an age the is before the Lord of the Rings movies.
• Rolemaster (phew talk about an extensive system with lots of rules and charts)
• Vampire - Interesting game though i played a Nosferatu....
• Ars Magica - The group still talk about my ability to allways use one particular spell at the wrong place and time.
• GURPS - A brief but interesting encounter with the rules.
• Warhamme Fantasy - A very cool game, with great history.

   

   

  I am allways looking for good mood music, to set the mood in a particular gaming session.

   

  I Live in a house that was a millers house, it used to have a flour mill run by the nearby stream, not much left of that though only the main building (millers house) is as it was when it was build in 1856, the flour mill began around 1530, there is still a building on the stream currently containing a water turbine that produces on average 36000 kwh of electricity each year, so running out of power is not an option.

   

  Still trying to deal with the fact that while he was recieving the new floor to be used in the renovation of the house, my dad died unexspectantly and without warning of a hearth attack, it was the 18th July 2007.

   

  In his memory i have begun gathering information about the property, however not much yet, for those who understand danish you can take a look at the information i have gathered at www.groenbek.dk, for those who don't there are some pictures you can look at.

   

  My dream is to completly renovate the property back to it's original look, going even further than my parens, but it is a very expensive dream to follow as it would probably cost around 2 million dollars.

Been on short vacation, so i am trying to catch up on everyone who have mailed me or commented on my profile

The weather here in Denmark is sunny with 27+ Degrees Celcius (80.6 Fahrenheit) and a forecast for the next week with the same weather.

Reclaimed 3 parts from Bim and 1 part from Acelsia who have left Sellaband. Sad to see them both go ;-(.

Update on the Waterturbine is that it is closed for the summer season and there is no longer going enough water into the water stream to prevent us from draining it, even at lowest settings it drains to fast.

Also the impending municipal project that would have closed the waterturbine permanently this summer have been postponed to 2009.

As for raising the 2 million to renovate the progress is Zero, it is becoming more and more difficult to not consider the prospect of selling.

Have been offgrid to last couple of days, so i got a lot catching up to do.

Had to make repairs to our waterturbine (produces electricity), so that was some scare we got when it sudenly didn't want to regulate the water flow, but it works again phew.. got a boot full of water.. :-D

Leaning towards increasing my investment in sellaband to a total of 200 parts, the extra 100 parts are within my budget, due to a small bonus i recieved at work, however i am still not completly sure yet.

Just reached my budget limit for now with 100 parts invested.

I would lie if i said i wasn't considering moving the limit slightly higher, but i need some time to contemplate over that choice.
