This is a great album! I hear a very individual style. A cool mix between something in the Nightwish direction and Evanescence. 5 Stars, TOP.

Great rocking CD!!!! Nemesea are a great band!!

This is probably the best new (new to me) band I have heard in a LONG time. Manda's voice is incredible, hard driving, powerful as thunder but soft as an angels. The music gives me chills. I cannot get enough of this album.

This album rocks!! I'm totally hooked on the song 'The Way I Feel' and I never get tired of listening to it. This band is very talented and I hope that they will start doing some gigs again soon.

I am not a music specialist and my job doesn’t have anything to do with the music; but I am a fan of music, especially of metal, and of course I know what I like and what I don’t like; based on this here is my review of “In control”. Generally I have my opinion concerning a song at the first hearing, in 90% of the cases the following hearings are only a confirmation of my first impression. I liked "In Control" at the first hearing, I appreciate the style, the songs are in the same time very powerful and very melodic, with melodies which stay in your mind for all the day. You can feel all through each piece the professionalism of all the participants, musicians, singer, production and recording team. Nemesea can be proud of the result; in my opinion several titles could be classed in the hit parades, unfortunately not in France of course because in our Medias are against metal. I can summarize my review by saying once again that "In control" an excellent album, one of best release of the year in the Gothic metal category.

Cet album était tout sauf inoubliable, dans le genre d’After Forever période « Invisible circles », genre de gothic metal progressif à chant féminin. Courant 2006, j’ai reçu un mail d’eux me présentant un nouveau concept, « Sellaband », un site web par lequel vous pouvez découvrir des jeunes talents, et si vous appréciez, vous pouvez devenir actionnaire du groupe. Lorsque le groupe atteint le 5000 actions (à 10 $), Sellaband met à sa disposition studios, producteurs, managers etc. J’ai donc écouté « No more », nouveau titre qui servait de présentation au groupe, et j’ai été séduit de suite par le côté accrocheur et moderne, et donc je suis devenu actionnaire. Le fait est que je n’ai pas été seul, en deux mois Nemesea avait vendu ses 5000 parts. Nous avons pu assister à différents studio reports, cours de chant, contacts avec mes managers, etc, bref vécu l’aventure avec le groupe. Quelques mois, plus tard, pari tenu, j’ai le digipak en main et la musique dans les oreilles. Et alors, là, le moins que je puisse dire, c’est que je suis content de mon investissement ! Nemesea nous sort le grand jeu, 10 titres compacts et superbement accrocheurs, mélodies émouvantes portées par la chanteuse Manda Ophuis. Musicalement, Nemesea est en rupture assez nette avec son précédent album, c’est presque un second ‘premier album’ en fait : on note une évolution vers un son nettement plus actuel, avec pas mal de samples utilisés dans les musiques ‘club’, et des riffs plus simples et directs, genre nu-rock, refrains charismatiques, c’est en quelque sorte la rencontre de Theatre of Tragedy période « Musique » avec Evanescence. Sellaband ne se moque pas des artistes, la production est énorme, mais on sent que l’on a cherché à atteindre un public large, pas seulement le public habituel du metal à chanteuse, mais aussi les amateurs de pop/rock actuel ; chaque chanson pourrait faire un bon carton en radios : c’est calibré pour cela : 10 titres et 34 minutes… maintenant il faudra voir quelle promotion leur assurera Sellaband pour la suite, mais c’est un renouveau extrêmement prometteur pour Nemeséa et une très bonne première expérience pour le concept Sellaband.

Excellent album! Anyone into bands like Within Temptation and Evenansence will love this! I like the style of their first album Mana better (more prog, more metal), but In Control is excellent in its own right!

Awesome record! Beside "No more", which was familiar for like 9 months now, you'd definitely listen to "Home", "The way I feel", "Believe" and "Broken".

Nemesea is In Control! Compare if you wish, for me it is crystal clear, magical and one of a kind. Gothic rock with a heart and soul.
