Netvalar is the whisper on the wind
A
legendary figure of mythic proportions. Those who try to learn more
hear unbelievable stories. Once I hear he stopped a car with his
fingertips, another time he chased down 6 would be robbers. Even the facts of these
stories when made vocal take on new lives of their own.
I am actually 3 people in one Howard Clark, Netvalar, and Luke. Howard Clark is a romantic of sorts who for some god awful reason believes in things like true love. It is this romanticism that gives rise to visual and poetic wordings both verbal and written. I put him to sleep for long periods of time and sometimes he rises up and tons of visuals are created.
Netvalar is really a recent creation of mine, focused on research of all kinds. Quickly becoming known as some sort of music savant. Though I have for most of my life known how and enjoy doing research. I see the online research that I do now and will continue to do as a separate personal.
Now to keep both of these created aspects of myself in check I of course retain the services of Luke. Luke being me, will from time to time encompass both of these personals and so much more. Of course I sometimes like to take a vacation away from both of them.
From the time of 13 years of age I have been a huge spiritualist. Called by the cosmos to study theology in most of its forms. I can be quoted as calling myself "God's Spoiled Lil Brat" and many close to me have seen what they can only consider miracles. Of course miracles come in many guises and some have negative effects on my life. These I call punishments or sometimes setting me up for something better in the future. Being raised Mormon I learned from the church that you can ask god directly a question and he would answer. This has caused me to view my relationship with the cosmos at large as a personal one.
In the years past I researched and planned out many adventures that could help others. I still retain my online store and would love to help others to start one and profit from it. My current direction in life is to wade through the quagmire of the current music industry. As I watch it evolve from labels of decades past to something new, both scary and wonderful. I stand behind the ideals that this new music industry we leave our children will be built with their participation. Music fans are no longer tied down to what is being sold to them but now can become part of the new industry in so many ways. Record Label 2.0 I believe is the building up of options for music lovers to participate in.
So just as when I was younger and decided to spend a week-end on the streets just for the experience. So now I journey into the realm of fan mails, music widgets, and music Savants building something new. Come check out my views at Timelineonline.org anytime.

My Blog
A google search on Netvalar is no longer accurate as I have been duplicated on almost a dozen forums. I am now settled in Seattle, Lynnwood to be more specific, WA. I have listed and shall continue to add links to what I consider important articles on my music blog at http://netvalar.blogspot.com.
My Email address for anyone here to contact me is believer@netvalar.com
I can be found on the following as Netvalar

You can find my instant messenger listings on my bolt profile. I am always interested in what people have to say so feel free to drop me a message or just chat on IM.
Something I am now still organizing my thoughts and opinions around is social marketing. What this means is that those 16-24 want to be involved, this adds to my advise to creative types who gain fan based followings. Inform your fans and also ask them questions get them involved or at least make it look like you are.
We all have to realize that sellaband.com has given us something we haven't had since medieval times the ability to effect entertainement around us. So promote your fav musician everywhere you can blogs, forums, or social networking sites.
Most people have been able to follow the cyber bread crumbs to my various lodgings. However with but 1 persons question I decided to throw in my audial vacation address http://netvalar.blogspot.com/ some things there are worth your look others are just good decorations.
I am taking this description of me from many other people's views not neccesarily my own. I am a researcher extrodinaire, believer in the human race both as individuals and also as a whole. Willing to give the shirt off my back in minus 20 degree weather because I know I am god's spoiled lil brat. Full of wisdom though I know not how that is. Open minded to hearing new things and expanding my horizens, though at this time I have already heard it but go ahead tell me anyways I may have missed the punch line.

10 commandments of Sellaband by Brian Taylor of Vegas Dragons
1. Don't get depressed! When I first joined I was happy that I got a few new believers. I was very happy because I was signing up one a day... then it stopped. Nothing. No new parts - and I was really bummed out. Self doubt creeps in - "maybe my music sucks", "maybe I'm wasting my time!" You must remain upbeat! If you have a positive attitude, you are more likely to succeed.
2. You must have patience. This is not a get rich quick scheme. It will take time to reach such a big total. However it can be done. Mt Everest is huge but it can be climbed! Nothing is too big - not even $50,000. You can eat an elephant... one bite at a time.
3. Invest in yourself. I am a firm believer of putting my money where my mouth is. I have invested in myself and my music. If I don't - why should I expect strangers to? I am treating this as a self - financed project. I will buy every part in me that I can. If someone else jumps on board - awesome - but I will get there - regardless! Show the world that you believe in you and buy some parts in yourself! One believer (who bluntly admits not to liking my style of music) has said that they will buy a part just because I have bought into my band! Show everyone how much you believe in YOU!
4. Thank your believers!! NEVER take for granted the person that invests in you. Thank them. I am not talking about kissing up to them but genuinely thank them for liking your music. When someone comes up to you for an autograph and says they love your music - hopefully you will thank them and be pleasant. When you get someone who buys a part of your career - thank them ALWAYS!
5. Buy parts in other artists. You don't have to spend big... but there are a lot of great artists on Sellaband. By investing in even one or two, you are giving them a great boost of confidence. However - Don't expect any thing in return. A thank you should come your way but don't expect them to buy a part in you. It shouldn't work that way. In life before YOU succeed, you have to help many others out first.
6. Keep a list of your believers and their parts. Keep a record of the numbers. One day your tally will go up but you don't see any new people. This is because one of your believers has bought more parts in you. (THE NEW DATE IS NOT RECORDED ON YOUR LIST) IF you have it written down, you can see who it is and thank them straight away.
7. Don't take rejection personally. If you ask a believer to listen to your music and they don't like it - DEAL WITH IT. Just thank them for listening. The simple fact is that music is a wonderful thing but your music will not be to everyone's taste. This is a GREAT thing - because the people who do love it - will really love it and support you 100%
8. PROMOTE! PROMOTE! PROMOTE! Always be promoting your music. You have to get the word out. You need a myspace page and you need to network on myspace. It will cost you nothing except your time. When you sign up, actively seek out new friends. Start with your favourite artists, make a list and ask them to be your friends. Soon many people will be your friends and you will have a huge army of friends. IMPORTANT - take the time to thank them and do it properly. Listen to their music, read about them and comment on something positive about them... and make it sincere. You can spot a fake from a mile away. If you ask someone to be your friend - write their names down - because if they decide to join your friends you will receive no notification from myspace, which sucks! Find them in your list of friends and thank them.
9. Ask your friends and family to consider buying a part in your music. DON'T PRESSURE THEM! However let them know that this is important to you and that you will be very honoured if they buy a part. Since joining Sellaband it has been easy to see who of my friends and family REALLY like my music and who were just being nice. If they don't buy a part, just drop it from the conversation. As you climb up towards $50,000 they may climb on board but don't pressure them! Everyone has financial problems especially this time of year.
10. A.S.S - Always sell Sellaband. The only way this is going to work and work well is if everyone knows about Sellaband. Spread the word. They are allowing Vegas Dragons to be heard in every corner of the planet. Do you know how amazing that is? The only way the entire world will hear you is if they know it exists.

Nov 16 2008 09:35 CET Raza - Frozen Theatre (new song)
FROZEN THEATRE
Interlude .
An artist. Ordinary artist. A stage. Empty stage. A theatre audience. Frozen... A Frozen Theatre.
1st ACT.
The artist displays feelings stopped by the echo of an empty hall. She won’t be stopped.
2nd ACT.
As in an empathic mix, voices of all artists come to heat up the cold. Fire starts to burn in a subzero cave. Warmth starts to overwhelm the audience. They are touched. Shy glances make the artist exist on the stage.
3rd ACT.
Fire melts ice. Water kills fire...ENTER FROZEN THEATRE!!!
