About me
I am a Physiotherapist based in Orange, NSW. My first love has always been the performing arts and I perform with the local theatre company (sing, act, try to dance). I'm the lead singer and drummer of The Chips Are Ready (currently resting). We played regularly in Sydney, NSW in the late 90's, way back when demos, recording and cassette tape duplication was freakin' expensive. If only we were doing it all now....sigh.
I am so happy to see so many artists getting to their 50K. It really is a lot of money, but spread over many many investors, it is a great way for artists to bring their passion to life. The 3 cds I have received so far, Nemesea, Cubworld and Second Person are just fantastic. I am looking forward to the others that are in production now.
I wish I had more money to put into other artists, but I think I am playing my part. Sellaband is for big and small investors.

Well Cats opens this Friday. If you didn't know I am playing Munkustrap, a very substantial role. We've been working on this for almost 6 months so I am really looking forward to performing in front of an audience. Whether I can manage to perform and also maintain my work and life in general remains to be seen. Wish me luck....

Just returned from seeing 300 at my local cinema. They've just opened a gold class area and by god, it is a nice way to see a film. 300 is a freaking trip...a must see. Whilst the film's fixation with men in their undies may be slightly homo-erotic, the art direction is simply beautiful. David Wenham's dodgy nasally accent is a bit of a worry though...

We took the dog back at 4:30 this morning..... The cat is back sleeping on the sofa. Let us not speak of this again.

Happy easter everybody. Today we made the potentially stupid decision to animal-sit my girlfriend's family dog and bird. So far, so good. Mind you, our cat (it is not actually our cat but it visits us every night from a block away) has become aware of the dog's presence and will probably never return. Shame, I just bought it a bowl....

Several cds I ordered over the net arrived today. Two classic Midnight Oil albums, The Real Thing and Diesel & Dust, plus Standing On The Outside, the Cold Chisel Tribute. Now I am not one to proclaim myself an Aussie music fan and I have hidden in the corner at the pub whilst everyone sings Ke Sahn, but I must say that all 3 of these albums showcase songwriting at its best, Aussie or otherwise. I've gotta stop buying so many cds. Since allofmp3.com stopped accepting credit cards (damn you not so relaxed anymore Russian copyright laws) I'm back on the cds again. I guess cds are the cigarettes to the download's nicotine patches. Mp3's may be a good substitute but there is something so much more satisfying with a physical cd. They are the real thing.

I have just returned from a rehearsal of Jekyll & Hyde which opens on 4th May. The majority of my evening was spent sitting on my arse reading Empire magazine as my character is dead for the majority of the 2nd act. It got me thinking....what the hell am I doing in theatre anyway. Why do I subject myself to this when I could be sitting at home enjoying the tv? I guess for the same reason that all the folk on sellaband slave away at their music with little return (for now), because we are all performers and we live to perform.
