About me
I have spent thirty years working with music, first with the punk band The Thought Criminals in 1977, recently reunited as well ! I started the influential Australian labels Doublethink and GREEN in 1977 and 1981 respectively. I was involved with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for well over a decade up to 1999. I managed the Go Betweens until they broke up the first time in 1990. I toured many UK bands in Australia including PiL, Buzzcocks, Jesus Jones, Pop Will Eat Itself and Tackhead. I started a publishing company Lost in Music and ended up being MD of Polygram Music for six years. I then became the Chairman of Australasia's longest standing independent record company, Festival Records which became Festival Mushroom Records in 2000. For ten years I was also the publisher for Powderfinger until my retirement from the music industry about two years ago. My CV includes too many Aust/NZ artists to mention but it weaves a rich thread including key artists in the history of Australian music. Ask me anything !
