About me

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

I was born in what is now western North America at the end of the Jurassic Period. I am made of yellow knitted material and love music. That's all you need to know really.

Is it September again already? My this new fangled Sellaband 2.0 site is a bit better. Easier to do some things, like spending money... speaking of that I've been having a little punt again. My fave David 'Dave' Patrick deserves more of my attention, as does that CLEM character. What is with Cris Tanzi though? She's the hardest working act on SAB so why aren't more people behind her. I think she's great and I'm making her track My Home my Splodger pick of the month. I've also had a little punt on Fay Stevenson, she sounds good. Might have to take some more listening to Katie Thompson too. Congrats to Gisel on her 50k success, as my mate David says, we shall miss her exclamation marks.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

Greetings yellow Dino fans. I've been away a little too long, but I have been watching. I'm just gonna update my notes. I invested in the lovely Cris Tanzi - she's one too watch and one of my picks. Also, over the moon to see Rox getting close to 3k. Like the new pictures, a nice photo shoot. I am now in for 55 parts with Rox and urge everyone to take advantage of her new incentives. That Dave Patrick has been doing well and I have upped my stake in Dave to 20 parts. I am looking forward to my CD copy of 'Proximity' please. Nice to hear Richard Markham has got his!!! Tammi Cartwright, dear Tammi. I am very fond of you so I've upped my parts to a more respectable amount (although not too much for now, Mrs Splodge has reined in the purse strings a bit). I am supporting T-Ka in her bid to be number 11. Any day now.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

Should I change my profile picture? I think my fur looks a bit, well, 'knitted' however I was quite pleased with the yellow hue that my skin glowed that day. I have been investing a few parts around and about. Dave Patrick's new track 'Aramea' is well worth a listen - a demo we're informed, good sounds. RoxClaytonScott has still got the funk in my book and I will always have a soft spot for that voice, the voice, the one. For my other meanderings I have been round and about. I was happy to help out BPM in their quest for 1,000 believers - maybe not quite my cup of tea but then I'm partial to a bit of hard rock every now and then, providing it is not hair metal. I have upped my investment in Jess King and Angie Arsenault after seeing the video of her Anastacia cover - how much did that cost Sommersby for the dedication, wow!? Also for the sheer audaciousness of Mua'Dib I am going to chuck in a part for the line "You're funny little beady eyes will be added to our collective consciousness to greater enhance our perfection". Don't anyone else get any ideas of how they are going to treat me though - I am not having it, I am a forest heavyweight (20 tons) so watch it. Lovely. Well, goodnight.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

Had a little bit of a look around SAB today. Haven't done so for a while and was introduced to a couple of new (well established) artists via JayDoubleYou's playlist. Jess King I thought had the most gorgeous voice, enough to entice Mrs Splodger out of the cave to proclaim 'who's that?'. Also Angie, I know why you've got that investment behind you, just lovely. Mind you I'm not rich and my parts investment were only small, until I can get some more out. I decided to put some more into my faves RoxClaytonScott, the track 'Forever Through the Years' is great, don't let the slightly cheesy sax solo (which reminded me of some old Spandau Ballet moments at School Discos) detract, the sentiment and arrangement of the song is spot on - a fantastic ballad. Also me old mate Dave Patrick seems to be hitting a nerve with the SAB community after charting this week, so I thought a bit of extra investment especially as Proximity is such a good track to go to sleep too (in a good way). Ho ho, gotta go and get some air. Nighty night.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

SEPT 25: Out and about today. Good to see RoxClaytonScott getting back into the charts and on with her 2k plan. I am predicting that Miss Marcell is going to get her $50k very soon, mind you not hard to be a mind reader with that kind of activity going on. Hmmm, the Splodger prediction machine reckons, drum roll please. November 8th. I am going to nip out for a graze in the pastures now, bye. Stomp, stomp, stomp...

------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------

SEPT 12: After a healthy tea I decided to have a mooch around Sellaband from my cave HQ, somewhere in the SE of London. I've got a lot of interest from Tammi and Rox but then I think they're ace, hence I've had a punt on both of them. Tammi is digging to find out a bit more, but hey what's to tell? Maybe, I'll just post up a few photos of me relaxing with the family. My cousin Spangler would have a few words to say on this Sellaband thing as he's a real estate Dinosaur. "You're chucking your money down the drain, he roars!". But he's missing the point. "It's not about making money, although who knows, it's about loving music, and I love music. Sit down and have a cup of tea."

Rox is taking the lions share of my parts but, who knows I might be tempted to put a bit more in and share the prehistoric wealth.

Some great songs here. Particularly like 'Proximity', nice. Could strike a note with the SAB community...
Cris Tanzi Cris Tanzi 13.10.07 12
My old dinosaur ears could detect a touch of 'Sam Brown' about Cris which is certainly no bad thing in my book! But Cris has her own unique sound and I am convinced she can go far here. I'm in on the first rung.

Having watched Angie's video of Left Outside Alone, I thought it only right to invest a little more in her Sellaband venture. Gorgeous voice. Me and Mrs Splodger like.

Sep 05 2008 16:53 CET Toz - New collaboration with Inge M!!

Hi Splodger,

I see you're not averse to a bit of singer-songwriter type stuff.....I sometimes fall into that category - ish.

I've just been working on a collaboration with sellaband favourite Inge M - a taster is on my player and the full version can be obtained by believing in both of us. But of course I am working on my own material too and you should see a fair bit of that being added during September.

Please do drop by and take a listen to my songs if you can...and let me know what you think.

Cheers!

Hi there,

Tarball's first steps on the Sellaband stage. We are very ambitious and we think we can go places. Check out our music at www.sellaband.com/ta rball and read the review of our EP "Bite The Bullet". Tell us what you think and (hopefully) believe ;-)

Cheers,

Patrick
