About me
I am a Dutchman mainly working and staying in the West African Mano River Region (Liberia - Sierra Leone - Guinea). In 1990, I was entrusted by Swatch to introduce hip hop in Europe with the Swatch/MTV Euroroadshow. The years after my company introduced Marlboro Music Beach Tours and supervised the 10 year anniversary of Swatch in Zermatt in 1992 featuring Jean-Michel Jarre as star of the event, with whom we went on a European tour in 1993. Ages before I was manager and promoter of local rock bands in The Netherlands and producer of television music shows. So music is not completely strange to me. These days I enjoy the music from West Africa. Not only Youssou but also Babaa Maal (Senegal), Salif Keita (Mali), Mory Kante (Guinea), Papa Wemba (DCR) and MAGNUS of course.
MAGNUS I try to assist as far as I can to show him the path to recognition because he really is a nice guy with a great voice and capacities to write songs. I am convinced it is possible the SellaBand community is able to adopt this young African singer and make a star of him as symbol of artistic solidarity between the rich North and the poor South. So let us all put our shoulders under it and make it happen.
LILY: I am so proud to know this Latin Queen with a golden heart as big as can be. Congratulations you beautiful singer with the velvet voice. I had no intention to buy parts in other acts but LILY impressed me so much with her voice, beauty and personality that I could not resist to invest in her. Especially the song NOSTALGIA makes me weak inside. It gives me the emotion if I walk all alone on a South American beach and missing my love ones so much. The music makes me think about them and that is why I don’t want it to stop because it brings them so close to me. Listen to her music and feel what I mean. In the meantime the reality made the emotion come to life and Lily knows exactly what I mean. The love of my life is no more here and that makes Lily's song even more important to me.

and just a note to tell you that I have a new song I would love you to hear. It is a crazy, revved up remix of my serene "Angel" and completely different from the original. It is totally unusual for me too - like a happy accident really, but very sensuous with exotic notes of the orient and I really wanted to share it here. It will add spice to a great night out on the town or make you want to dance with someone real close. Or at least that's what it makes me feel, so I thought I'd play it for you. It was born out of too many late nights of passionate brainstorming in the studio.
