BILLY THE MOUNTAIN has a policy of making profit through commercial means to help the underprivileged in the world. Thus any profits we make as a commercial operation within the music and entertainment industry - after taking into account the expenses of the band on its worldwide travels - goes to the kids and impoverished who need hands-on help.
We will sell our music, our concerts and our promotional goods and services to make money and we will always favour individuals and venues who wish to help us in our endeavours and to achieve our aims.
We remain free spirits driven only by the desire to play music and to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Band members are volunteers paid for their work as musicians or performers and are only engaged under contract when the band commits to three or more gigs in a row which constitutes a tour.
We ask all members of any of our audiences to buy our merchandise, our CDs and to visit our web site and donate at least the price of a bottle of water. That money goes immediately and directly to build sustainable infrastructure which provides impoverished communities with clear, clean drinkable water, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year forever.

Hi Adam, it's a great encouragement a man of your
pedigree is putting some dosh on the line for us..and from the real world of music working with greats like Ian Dury and the Blockheads...not to mention all the others.
I am working hard to promote the band and weplay Malaysia Blues Festival in August, Kathmandhu Nepal Music Festival in November and the Nagaland India Music Festival in also in November.
I run news on my www.bangkokjungle.co m and we have had a great reception at www.noisehead.com topping the R&B charts for a number of days now.
We have registered with www.tunecore.com which gets us on iTUNES and many others. And of course we are just registering with www.CDBABY.com so we ain't asleep at the wheel!
I guess you know we are at www.myspace.com/theb illymountain and we need to work hard on promotion because Asia is such a mainstream backwater. But we are dedicated and professional musicians so with our music and another twenty songs in hand, we're gonna make you proud of us.
Thanks again and lets's hope we fly...
