Black Bikini Alpha are four South-East London misfits brought together over a love of gritty, hard hitting but uplifting music. When trying to break up a fight that had erupted in a local pub where they used to promote gigs, they wondered for a moment whether there was an easier way to make a living - the response was a resounding NO. Music was the only living that they wanted to make…after a few false starts with a powerpop, punk band they decided they wanted to deliver something more than a 2-chord cynical rant on speed, so they formed Black Bikini Alpha.
Black Bikini Alpha are not a ‘fashionable haircuts and cool jackets’ type band…it’s about the songs and making that important connection with people – on record and live. They want to be as important as The Clash, as daring as Radiohead and as big as U2 (well, you gotta have ambition).

OK sorry to remove part, but no activity. Let me know when the band is ready to go on SAB, and I'll be back
best

Hi guys - thanks for the message
Yep a few tips that might come in handy:
* If you believe in yourselves, something like $100, you will get off the bottom of the artist search engine, and into the top half (for people who are searching by artist)
* You can invite people to come and listen to your songs by leaving a message as a comment on their BELIEVER page. If you make the message personal, it will have more of an effect - a little bit of cut-copy-paste is OK, but it pays to read the believer's profile first, and send a message based on what you see there. Tip: don't invite people to visit by sending a PM - lots of people do not like this, and your message might get deleted unread.
* Try making some friendships with artists of a similar genre, have a listen, read their blogs etc. Lots of bands work hard on here, and leave invaluable tips. however, it's not cool to invite people to listen to you on other artist pages.
*Get your mates/friends/family along to buy parts, and you'll be cooking in no time!
* When you get your Myspace page up, put a banner link to this site
* Definitely visit this page http://club.sellaban d.com/info.html?_p=p aginaa&detp=sk-artis t
You are already using the right page on the forum to promote, and have set your genres, so that's cool.
My biggest tip would be, to try and stay active, even if it takes a while to get off the ground.
Thinking about it, I'm going to buy a part based on London Town, cos it kicks arse!
All the very best!
Isca
