Hello all, I'm Nick, I'm 22. After years of listening to artists such as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Donavon I began to write music at the age of 17. Well, first I tried to pick up the guitar, which i'm still pretty crap at playing, but I get by. So i've been working hard for about 4 years.
My greatest hobbie is music, as I find it relaxes me despite what mood I'm in. My favorite part of a song lies in the lyrics. I feel that the words used in a song can draw you in and even be related to a similar situation of the listener. My favorite genres of music are folk, rock, acoustic, and some indie. I play for fun, but if anything was to happen I wouldn't be disappointed. I can't help but to want to aspire to be like my musical heroes, as If you were to look at my influences you can see that some of these artists were considered to be the best writers of their time.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
