What's not to like Chapter 9's song Cake! I mean really cake is just awesome, and being as I had a major sweet tooth lately it caught my attention. I really like fun songs. |

Chapter 9 is like my optimistic view on life. The more you listen the more you get hooked! The song 'Cake' brings me back to the warm country-campfire songs of Bob Dylan that invite you to enjoy the company of friends in a friendly world, and at the same time Chapter 9 sounds as civilized and fragile as Josh Rouse, naked, but less melancholic and more looking for fun. The song ' Peel the peels' tells me the story about how people want to live and to be free as a child. Above all this song has the positive feel and sound of 'Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young' (Deja vue: Our house, ...two cat's in te yard...)
Chapter 9' s musical arrangements take you by the hand and slowly lead you to the friendly psychadellic strawberry fields of the Beatles that make the songs easy to swallow and will leave you hungry for more afterwards...
Supporting Chapter 9 is not like investing in real estate for my own profit, it's like pooring water to a beautifull flower so it can grow and give joy to many many people...
Chapter 9's kitchen has a wonderfull cook, so keep on filling the menu so people will never get enough of you!

I'm very happy to add a small contribution to this fantastic project !!! I have been the earliest fan (or almost ! I know Matthias is going to jump on this one..) and attended every single gig - this is great music, and even more live ! I truly believe in Chapter 9's upcoming big break, but your help to make it happen sooner would be very welcome !!! I am such a fan that i married Marc... seems like I got the best part.. ; ) |

Marc Verwaerde is an incredibly talented man. His voice is like a lazy drip of honey oozing out of a pot, but purified honey, clean and clear and warm. his guitar playing is classic and gorgeous, part early-Beatles, part Leonard Cohen, listening to him makes me think of Nina Simone's version of Tom Thumb's Blues. and he obviously has a great group of musicians around him. if he isn't famous eventually, there's something wrong with how the world defines talent. |

Marc wrote to me about 8 month ago and I spontaniously visited his profile. Through an link I can't remember I downloaded the song cake
and put it on my iPod SAB playlist. 2 months later it happend that I
heard them again on my ipod and thought: Great who the hell are they?
Chapter 9 ? Then I visited their profile again and caught myself
