Character Nine combines a careful attention to melody, thoughtful lyrics, and thick body-rocking riffs to create a refreshing and powerful alternative sound. Performing in NYC over the last 2 years has earned the band a solid base of loyal fans and strong relationships with bookers from a number of clubs including The Knitting Factory, Kenny's Castaways, and Arlene's Grocery. In July 2007, C9 independently released their debut EP "The Sound," which is available on www.CharacterNine.com and iTunes.
Leveraging their reputation and new recording, the band seeks to earn gigs with the next tier of music clubs in the city. They are also working towards expanding their fan-base to Boston, MA.

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
