CROSS OF FEAR is a brazillian Heavy Metal band made in 2005 by three young metal fans that would like to play a kind of music that could be cool to listen and to play. This dream could then be possible when they talked with their friends about the idea of playing some "projects of music" made by the guitar and singer Rivaldo Leite Jr. and the then-bass-guitar Filipe Dias. After making that "projects of music" become real songs, Filipe decided only sing, and Rivaldo only to play guitar. Leandro Cardoso, an old friend of Rivaldo (they made a promise in their childhood that, when they grow, they would make a heavy metal band) became the keyboard player, Felipe Carvalho was the other guitar player, Milson Chaves was the bass player and Wagner Ramalho the drummer. The year of 2005 passed by, and, after a lot of desagreements, troubles and adjusts, Paulo Rodrigues, a beer partner of Rivaldo, became the bass player, Enio Bastos, an old friend of Filipe and introduced by Paulo into the band, is the drummer, and Wilson Marçal Filho, neighbour of Rivaldo and Filipe and friend of the old-former guys, was the lead guitarist. In december 2005, they began to record their only demo-CD until this moment, "Holy War Pt. I", on DigiSound Studio, engineered by two members of one of the greatest bands in Ceara, Rodrigo Magnani and Fabricio Carvalho. In May 2006 the demo started its sales, and made CROSS OF FEAR be one of the revelation bands in Brazil. And here they are, still playing their songs for the pleasure of the Metal Nation.

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."

Dear colleagues and friends;
In the last weeks after entering SellaBand, many good things happened to me. From all around the world people buy ‘parts’ and send exciting invitations to come to Europe and US to perform. I am completely overwhelmed and had never expected this could be possible, although I dream all my life to become a good and renowned record artist. At my page you can read about me and listen to my music. Recently I have recorded SAVE THE CHILDREN, a song to attract the attention of the international media to the desperate situation of children who are victims of war in Africa (myself I was on the run from childhood for 15 years, I know what they go through!). Willem-k suggested to release SAVE THE CHILDREN before Christmas and that inspired me to invite SellaBand members from all continents to join me in a possible remix. How to do so I hope to hear from you and especially from panel experts and Believers. If you like the idea please send your comments and proposals to me, and I or my pal Willem will respond a.s.a.p.
