My name is Dewi Pechler (23), and I'm from Holland. I'm a singer/songwriter. I'd love to spread my music to everyone who's interested. I try to put a message in my music, just to inspire people, and tell stories about my own experiences...

From the age of two I was already singing..Just giggling out some words and try to put melodies on it. (I see it now with my own daughter, I have a 6 year old girl myself, and she's doing exactly the same!) I always felt a deeply desire to make songs of my thoughts and emotions..

However, I was always singing, but I forgot the meaning and intensions of my goal...I was not singing with my heart anymore...

In 2002, I signed up to do an audition for "Idols" (the dutch version of "American Idol") and I ended up to the 4th place! It was an amazing experience, and everything I (thought I) dreamed about was getting real now..

I had my own record deal, my first album, and a lot of publicity! I performed a lot, my whole life changed in a very short time. I didn't know what was happening acctually. Now I know what happened then:

I lost my creativity. 


 I didn't wrote any material myself on my first album, I didn't put any ideas of myself in shows or gigs. I was totally lost and far away from my true goal.

The album didn't sell enough records, and the record label wasn't interested anymore to do a 2nd album. They released me, and I was alone.
For me, that was a period to think about my life, my ambitions and my dreams in life. What is it that I really want? To be a big popstar? Or a real musician and put my own experiences and emotions in my music? The answer wasn't difficult for me...

I have always known that I want to express myself in music, and now I know that the way I have experienced, isn't the way to express myself in the music, it's a way to be another copy of so many artists already in the world...

My biggest wish is to make a new start; fresh, 100% pure, 100% real. 
To prove to myself that I can do what I want, if I just believe in myself..and (of course) If YOU believe in me!

It's so important that people can do where they live for...everbody got that "something" !! So do something with your creativity!
