BIO: From Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Diafanes are an independent alternative
rock band formed in 2002.
In 2004, the band recorded and released their
first album “See Through” in Brazil. At the same time, the band produced
their first video “Love In”, which aired on MTV Brazil in November 2004
and received a honorable mention at the George Lindsey Film Festival in
the U.S. in 2006.
In 2005 “See Through” was released in the United States and Europe by the American label Digitone Records.
In 2006 the band was 1 of the 20 (out of 2000) bands selected by Perry Farrel (Jane’s Addiction) at the finals of a competition for a slot on the Lollapalooza Festival. Diafanes was the only band out of the USA to make it to the finals of this competition.
