BIO: From Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Diafanes are an independent alternative rock band formed in 2002.
In 2004, the band recorded and released their first album "See Through" in Brazil. At the same time, the band produced their first video "Love In", which aired on MTV Brazil in November 2004 and received a honorable mention at the George Lindsey Film Festival in the U.S. in 2006.
In 2005 "See Through" was released in the United States and Europe by the American label Digitone Records.
In 2006 the band was 1 of the 20 (out of 2000) bands selected by Perry Farrel (Jane's Addiction) at the finals of a competition for a slot on the Lollapalooza Festival. Diafanes was the only band out of the USA to make it to the finals of this competition.

In a few hours, it finishes the 3rd round of the Sommersby October's competition, so I need your help now...
It would only takes 3 minutes of your time, and it would be sooo important to me... You only have to go here:

So please, I know you that can think that if you don´t vote, it won´t matter so much, but, it matters...In last round there was a tie, so one vote really count.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have $9999 or less in budget on 25 October.
This is a great opportunity for you. Let all your believers know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate to the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."

Diafanes is probably the most interesting band I ever watched on stage. With unconventional instruments and heavy guitars, the show impresses while it amuses. I believe in Diafanes because there's few good bands like them, sounding original and standing on the rock n roll profile. |
