A very talented girl! With a voice that goes right through me....

A voice that has you hooked from the first bar to the last.

There is nothing simpler than a piano and a voice, but it is no simple task to make them sound this good.

By the time she visits the BBC she'll be a recording artist.

And I'm sure the best is yet to come...

Her music grabs you. With her beautiful voice she is able to make music that is sensitive and touching at the same time. Really looking forward to the full album!

I am simply stunned! (Unseen) It's a great song - really great, got the hair standing up on the back of my neck (which reminds me I need to get waxed again!). The video is excellent, indeed all the better for the simplicity and love the grainy effect (either that or you really need a new camera!).
Lastly, the delivery is magnetic! It's bringing tears to my eyes and I'm really happy!
Astounding.

It's just so damn sad! It should probably come with a health warning 'cos if you were near the edge you should probably go listen to some Chumbawumba instead!

Ellie Williams – the brilliant singer, song-writer

Once you have heard her interview on Gemini (Exeter), you'll understand why words don't come easy to describe her talent, the genuine splendour with which she illuminates and amazes her audience.

You'll feel the glare and glory of her magnificent voice, the brilliance and vividness abruptly as you hear her singing this part in Fin's song:

“Believe in all your dreams and you might make some

Love with all your heart though it might break some”

Words that crossed my mind when listening her again and again: emotionally vibrant, lyric, sensible – but having that kind of special sensibility without too much sentimentalism, the perfect equilibrium between tenderness and yet gripping and exciting intonation.

I am amazed, totally enthralled and, I’m sure, that’s what you will feel when getting to know her songs, her voice, her magic.

One can become her addict dangerously soon (I know it already), at a speed, with which the delivery of her new songs certainly would not keep pace, unfortunately.

There is a special instrument though, that you can use to foster the progress of this: push the “BELIEVE” button, frequently. And do encourage others to do so as well.

Many thanks to Ellie for this great experience, also for the opportunity to demonstrate, how the phenomenon “internet” can be utilised as a powerful vehicle to provide a way for world-class talents to open up their space around, their access to a really wide audience.

Ellie is a new and welcome shooting star on Sellaband. A pure, strong voice delivers ballads of both strength and sweetness against dramatic piano and string backing.  The style is almost a throwback to the 80s but with a contemporary freshness.

Ellie should be huge in the US particularly.

Ok, at this point writing a review of Ellie Williams may seem like shooting fish in a barrel.  Still, a couple points are under-represented in the reviews I'm reading from others, so here we go...

We all talk about the music; and why not?  I don't honestly remember what drew my attention to her page, but I can say that once there I'd listened to less than half a track when I'd decided this was music worth buying into.

The tracks themselves are the most basic thing we want to look for; but to really believe in an artist, there are a couple other things worth noting.  A background with music is always an advantage.  Some experience with the industry doesn't hurt.  No shortcomings there.

More importantly, though, here is someone recording tracks at home, and coming up with something worth hearing.  No huge budget, no army of engineers; just an individual working with the tools and media at hand, and excelling -- a true Artist.

When someone can do this, it shows real talent and real drive; this in turn will lead to success.

This girl is so genuine and her music is very touching and i love listening to every second of it. She deserves nothing less than to make it to 50k and i know for a fact that she will do so very soon indeed. A talent like this will not go unnoticed on Sellaband. You dont need those stupid record companies, your fans believe and as long as they do so you will make it big. Keep goin doll!
