Whaddup everyone.. =) Thank you so much for comin' to my page. I am humbled.
I'm classically trained in piano and violin, with heavy Motown, hip hop and R&B influences (I knew all the Motown hits by heart since I was 10!). Everything you hear here is completely written and arranged by myself - most are even self-recorded with a cheap mic in my room. Yup, it's a one-woman project - after years of dealing with shady "producers," I've taken matters in my own hands. I've gotten, REALLY, REALLY burned by bad people in the industry and JUST WANT A SHOT to DO ME now. I do what I do for love of the music, that's it. Because everything else has been taken away from me. I came up from nothing - Put myself out in the streets and started from scratch - no connections, no idea what a studio was, nothing. I'm here still today because of blind love and faith and sacrifice. THANK YOU for taking the time to listen. And THANK YOU for the thousands of fans that have somehow randomly run into my music at shows or on the internet - I love you all. APOLOGIES TO EVERYONE for my ghetto recordings! Again, all of these are just RAW VOCALS in my room. I'm a diehard songwriter, so all these songs are just stuff I sat in my bedroom with - written, arranged and recorded in about 2 days each. Are you the one who does the background voices too (on 'Stand Up). I think it's really catchy and could probably become a hit.
