DETAILS magazine calls Alt-Country artist Erin Sax Seymour, "Tough and sweet, smart and streetwise, her melodies mesmerizing." Her sound echoes the melancholia of old Loretta Lynn with the vocal depth of Lucinda Williams.
Sax Seymour started writing songs as a teenager to help her through tough times, and then as a way to record the experiences she witnessed while traveling the world as a documentary filmmaker. Whether it was living in hiding in an Armenian monastery, following Baptists speaking in tongues at the River Jordan, or documenting life inside a Texas prison, she has seen some of life's many twists and turns. Through it all she understood that there really are just a handful of stories and moods that every person comes across in a lifetime, no matter their circumstance. Her music is the heart of these stories. It is about the character, integrity, and flaws that we all share as we alternately stumble and fly through though our days.
Sax Seymour's Alt-Country style has been labeled "Old Country meets Alt Country". Her primary influences are the Highway Men of the country world. Traditional artists such as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash, as well contemporary players such as Van Morrison and Bonnie Raitt.
2007 Sax Seymour will debut her EP "Good Girl" which was produced by New York City/Nashville producer Steve Joseph. Together Joseph and Sax Seymour have crafted a collection of songs already seeing radio and TV play.
Summer 2007: CMT picks up Erin's music video for her CD title track "Good Girl"; Sirius Radio features "Peace Tonight" in New Country special; Opening for The Samples "Rehearsing for Life" summer tour; Erin and her band will perform live on FOX TV' s Saturday night music show "Fearless Music"; Erin signed to cover Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" for Steven Railsback's feature film 'Black Heart Road '.

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
Hope you join in on the fun and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!

Hi , Methinks you are the angel, I fell from grace a long time ago !! :-) Anyway it reminded of words from guru, Eugene Hutz - "Often you will hear people talking about a concert theyve experienced for years! Why? In Gypsy mythology they say it is memorable because the devil visited that room, others say the other guy was there But one way or another they all link it to supernatural"
