Eucalyptus Moone is currently a long-distance home-studio project; slightly experimental, but looking to explore the infrequently charted channels such as the one used by Pink Floyd in 'Great gig in the sky'. The voice as an instrument. There is a lot of potential to play and use the voice without words and yet still evoke a wide range of emotions - perhaps even wider than with words as the listener's imagination takes hold.
The tracks here were work-in-progress before singer Amy left her hometown in search of a college education. Swapping the beautiful Devonshire countryside for the aesthetic delights of Coventry may seem like a gamble, but roads are not one-way valves. Coming home is always an option.
Writer Toz (that would be me) is/am now (having discovered the amazing community that is Sellaband) combing through archives of partworks to find tunes to entice believers with a discerning yet adventurous ear. There are plenty of snippets of goodies to add on as incentives as time goes by. I will confess upfront that I am not the worlds best studio engineer - I make the sounds, I am not too clever at recording them well. I hear the vision of the song as it will be, and try and get it somewhere near. I have always dreamed of creating the music to showcase Amy's beautiful voice, and having the technical wizardry of a modern studio to help me achieve the perfect recording...but until now this has been an impossible dream.
Now Sellaband gives me access to believers who can vote with their wallets and let me know whether this project would ever have an audience. It won't hurt me mortally if it shows there isn't one, but oh my, what a fantastic thing it would be if it showed me that there IS a market. I believe there is, and the thought of Amy unleashed upon the world drives me on. The potential is there to make a breathtaking album. I have worked with many singers over the years, and Amy's voice is simply beautiful. If you help as a believer, you will be a part of something very special.
Currently Eucalyptus Moone are not performing live, owing to geography, among other things. However, this could all change given a Sellaband album recording.

sorry it's been such a long time since I last got in touch. I thought it was time I let you know what was/was not going on!
Firstly, I have still not confirmed any get-together dates with Amy; I'm not sure when she is visiting the area yet, so I am not in a position to promise any new work in the immediate future. I feel it's important you know that so you can make informed decisions about your investments. The plan is still there do get some new music on the go, but I can't confirm when....yet.
In the meantime, I have posted up a 'new' track (a rough recording from a while ago) and will add a couple more in the coming weeks. I'd also like to offer any believer who has had the conviction to stay with us so far a free mp3 of ''Starfish" - a track that has attracted a lot of favourable comments. If you'd like me to send you a copy of the track, please just let me have your email address and I will send it on to you.
This in no way ties you to staying here - it's just a thank-you.
The world of music does not stand still, however, and I am very busy on a number of projects. I am currently working with no less that THREE other acts, all of whom will have songs ready to release upon the world very shortly. Two quite striking female singers, and a guy with an awesome voice and some very different material - I am very excited to be working with them and will let you know as soon as there is something to listen to.
I also decided to take the plunge myself, and have put my own profile up today. I have decided that I have more than enough varied material to be promoting myself too - and have even started performing at a local acoustic night with a view to picking up a few fans that way! My new profile is at www.sellaband.com/toz - please do come and say hello....I have put 3 tracks up now as a kind of cross-section of what I do, but there is likely to be a lot more activity there at the moment, as I can work with myself more often!
Enough waffle - thanks for hanging in there; I will try and keep you informed, but if as my other projects come online and are a bit more active, you wish to switch your investment, I will understand! You'll have plenty to choose from. All being well though, this profile will have some exciting new music by the end of the summer.
