Bassy Bob was born in New Orleans LA. His father, Bob Brockmann, was a jazz pianist in the French Quarter. Bassy Bob started playing trumpet and bass at an early age, and by the age of 14 was gigging and playing parties. At 18 bassy went to study music at the university of Miami. He never finished school, and proceeded to new york city where he got a low paying job at a rap studio called Ralston in Bed Stuy. There he cut his teeth as a mixer and within a year of moving to the city had two top 10 hits, "Only In My Dreams" Debbie Gibson, and "Ain't Nuthin' Goin' On But the Rent" Gwen Guthrie. Bassy went independent at the age of 22, and has been an independent Mixer/Producer for 22 years. He has mixed many multiplatinum projects and won 2 Grammys for his work. 8 years ago, Bassy founded NuMediaNY, a modern edge production company with the goal of developing the next generation of pop artists fro new york. NuMediaNY also has full support for film, video, and internet content creation. Bassy bob has directed 8 music videos and is developing an animated cartoon series based on his group the OddcupL. Bassy lives in New York City.
