Boots Ottestad, hailing all the way from Norway, first made his mark in the music industry in the mid 90s. As front man for the band the Getaway People (Columbia Records). Along with his four best friends from Stavanger the group shared great successes, releasing two albums worldwide in 1998 (the Getaway People) and 2000 (Turnpike Diaries). After two full years on the road in the US and Europe, Boots and the Getaway People decided to part ways in pursuance of different goals.
From there, Boots remained in NYC writing and producing for a variety of artists and musical styles. He has worked with Robbie Williams, with whom he co-wrote "Come Undone", the second single of Escapology. His music has been featured in Hollywood movies such as "Bring it on" and "Crazy beautiful". His songs have also been used in various American sitcoms, such as "Desperate Housewives" and "Dawsons Creek".
Currently, Boots resides in Brooklyn, NY and spends most of his time buried working in studios composing and recording music.
