Fenestra was created in 2004 with a Heavy Metal tendency. At that time they make a few live shows in Bogotá. Their first songs were: “Alma fría”, “Guerra de Libertad”, “Sublimación” and “Abismo”.

 

Their first Line-up was:

 

• Juan Rojas lead vocals and guitars

• Guillermo Gil lead guitars

• Omar Parra bass

• Javier Ospina drums

 

In 2005 Alex Parra and Javier Ospina left the band. Fenestra begins to compose new songs, searching his own sound and style. After this period the band finds affinity with the Progressive Rock/Metal because it’s an eclectic, academic and virtuous style.

 

In 2006 the line-up was conformed:

 

• Juan Rojas lead vocals and guitars

• Guillermo Gil lead guitars

• William Higuera drums

• Juan Pablo Juliao keyboards

• Leonardo Niño bass

 

In mid 2006 Fenestra released their Demo CD called “Sublimación”:

1. Abismo

2. Mi sueño

3. Percepción confusa

4. Alma fría (2004)

 

In 2007 the band was in the FOUR ELEMENTS group and makes some important shows to the Bogotá scene. Also, they released the single “Memorias de un fugaz…” flag song of Fenestra with a renewed sound and closer to the essence of their style.

 

Today, the band prepares itself to record the first long play witch will be released in 2008.
