In the last week we have been busy sorting out our backing tracks that we used for the first time during a gig we had on friday night. The gig went really well and the backing tracks were a great success. We also reached the $2000 mark this week and are now in the top 80 artists on Sell a Band. Sorry the blog has been a bit quiet but we will start recording again in a week or so and should have our latest song posted by the end of the month.

Well guys here it is, our first ever produced song! Over the last week we have been working like maniacs to learn how to use the home recording studio we purchased last weekend. There is a lot of terminology and processes we have had to get our heads around over the last week, and we have a lot more still to learn. But as we promised you all a song for this weekend, we thought we had better keep to our word. This new track 'What I Chose', represents the emotion of Naivety, which is very ironic since that is exactly what we have been over last week! Please leave us comments on what you think of the song, plus any tips or advice you have on how to make this, and future recordings improve. Well, we think we have had enough of compression, gates, equalizing and panning for one day, so all thats left for us to say is we hope you enjoy it, because at the end off the day, its you guys, our fans, who's opinion really matters.

Who knew producing and mixing could be so hard! The foxes nearly bit off more than we could chew with creating our own record label, but everything has to have a begining I suppose! We have completely finished recording our first song 'What I Chose' ready for release on Foxing Records and to upload on to Sell A Band, but learning about all this mixing buisness, to get it to sound great through your stereo speakers is bloody hard, especially since this is the first time we have had any invlovement in recording music for ourselves. However we are always up for a challenge and have been researching our butts off to try and get the best out of our music production. Please bear with us when we upload the track at some point over the weekend and remember this is our first ever song we have produced and mixed in our lives. They can only get better from here on. Saying that it still sounds awsome and we are pretty confident that all of our fans should love it. The other songs we have recorded so far, Time Will Tell, Cats Chase Dogs, Sunrise, and American Rose, were all done at our local recording studio with a producer who knows the routine inside out, and does it for a living, so considering that, I think we have done bloody well in less than a week. But we will let you all be the judges of the song when you hear it for yourselves. Paying £220 for every eight hours in the local studio was eating away at our bank accounts so in the long run having our own recording facilities is an extremely wise investment on our part. Now we just gotta learn how to use the bloody thing...lol. xxx

 

P.S we just realised were in the top 100! Wohooooooooooooooo!

Sorry we have not had any updates for a while, we have just been so busy. We have now just set up our own recording studio, and made our own independent record label, 'Foxing Records'. This means that we now have endless acess to recording facilities and can not only write and perform, but produce and mix all our music too. Fox Sing Abroad are now ready to really start making music. In a couple of days we shall be uploading the first result of this project. A song called 'What I Chose'. Keep posted guys, and thanks to everyone who has bought more parts in us this week. Next goal $2000! xxx

We are back from the studio, and truth be told we are extremly proud of ourselves. We have been very busy all day long and have come home with what we feel is the best song we have ever been involved with in our 7 years of playing guitar together. The band may only be 7 weeks old, yet the song we have produced incorpates every bit of blood, sweat and tears we have shed over the past 7 years previous to this band forming. On Tuesday evening we will be releasing exclusively to Sell A Band our lastest song 'American Rose'. For all our believers so far, this song is dedicated to you for putting your trust and support in our band. We hope our music will continue to improve with every song we produce and may you enjoy listening to them, as much as we enjoying writing them. Thank you all xxx

Bonjour believers, hope you are all well. Its been a quiet couple of days for us foxes on Sell A Band, but all that will change very, very soon. We are back in the studio tomorow and we cant wait. Tomorow is the first of three visits that will see us recording another 5 songs in total, one of which we finished writing last night, and we feel that our music is getting better and more progressive with every song we write. Hopefully by Tuesday we will have posted a new song for you all to hear. Now we have got your attention, let the tail begin.....xxx

Yo guys we had our first official gig last night! It went really well and everyone had a fantastic night. We have uploaded a video of the perfomance that includes both Sunrise and Time Will Tell for you to enjoy. We were struggling to reduce the file size from 429MB to under 99MB to upload it on here, so the picture quality is not amazing, but easily viewable, however the sound quality is pretty good. There is a logo over the top of the video to start with but that soon disapears, however it does return again at the end. It's not too intrusive though. Overall it's a pretty good representation of how the night went. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Sorry guys but You Tube deleted our video after just a couple of hours. Don't worry though we will find a way to get you guys to see it. Someone probably complained about it, which is a real shame as it is nothing more than a bit of fun. We know you guys as believers will see the funny side which is why we want you to see it. Give us a couple of days to sort it out.

We have just made it to the $1k mark thanx to our latest believer ROP. A massive thank you to all our believers and hopefully this time next week there will be a new song for you all to say thank you. We have a gig tonight so we will let you know how it went tomorow! We should get some video footage of the performance too. Talk to you all soon xxx

Well we finished our first week in the charts as the highest new entry and were just pipped at the last minute by Neafield by $20 to the number 5 slot. Still as i write this now we are on $850 and have a confirmed date for our next studio recording in a couple of weeks time. We have been working on some quality material that we feel is a step up from the first three songs in the Tail of Life Part 1. Part 2 is brining a slightly more passionate feel to the album and we cant wait to get recording it. We are looking forward to our gig on Sunday night and will keep you updated as often as we can about any news on the band. 15 parts away from $1k. Come on you believers, keep believing in us, and we promise we will reward you with our next installment of songs, and future videos. If any current belivers enjoy having a good laugh, and have a very open minded sense of humour, we can send you a link for a comedy video we recorded the other night. $590 as I wake up this morning after another late night session round Sams house. We have been asked to play an acoustic gig at the High Spirts Wine Bar in the London South East area next Sunday night. Our set will be about 30 mins long and give fans a little taster of some of the material we have been working on for the 'Tail of Life' album. We are talking with our producer today about our next recording dates. We will inform you guys as soon as the dates are confirmed. Start preparing for the next chapter of the 'Tail of Life'. Four days in and we got $100 so far! We know it's not spectacular, but it's encoraging none the less. We are hopefully going back into the studio in the next few weeks. Keep posted to hear the next part of the tail. Hello everyone!

We are Fox Sing Abroad and we are thrilled to have joined Sell A Band! We are bringing a new idea to the music industry with our music unfolding like a storybook as you listen, allowing you to become your own character in the story!

We have just recorded our first demo consisting of the three songs you can hear on our playlist. These songs have been up on our MySpace page for just 18 days and we already have 540+ fans and nearly 1500 plays.

The songs represent the first three characteristics that we explore in our proposed debut album 'Tail of Life', which are: 'Inevitability' 'Insanity' and 'Optimism'. During life, everyone has to accept the inevitable, everyone feels a little crazy sometimes, and everyone enjoys the feeling of optimism at some point. It's up to you as a listener to decide where each song fits in your life, and what circumstances you have encountered that have caused these characteristics to arise.

All of our other songs on the album will follow this idea, each describing one particular characteristic in life. 

If you cant be bothered to think too hard about the lyrical content, no worries, just sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy.

30 minute acoustic set performing the already recorded Part 1 songs from 'Tail of Life' as well as a complete first time exclusive perfromance of Part 2, and finishing the set with a taster of our brand new song from Part 3!

We are currently working on the next installment of the 'Tail of Life' album, and therefore are spending our time writing and recording at the moment. As soon as we have finished these recordings we plan to do alot of shows throughout the U.K promoting our album.

We would love to team up with any other Sell A Band artists from the U.K and put on a show to promote our bands and the website. If anyone is interested please let us know.
