Furistic is a highly dynamic alternative rock band. Founded in 2004 and already regarded, as one of the most promising bands in the Netherlands. Their music is melodic, energetic, raw and tantalizing. Their marked lyrics are based on an eclectic mixture of reality and fantasy. Inspired by life itself and incorporating different music styles, the band strives to explore the boundaries of alternative rock music.

Furistic is lead by the charismatic and gifted front woman ‘Jolene Grunberg’. Her eccentric and sensual vocals, combined with her inimitable guitar riffs, are a new phenomenon in the rock circuit. The heavy and melodic bass lines of ‘Woody Bekers’ create a dark atmosphere. Drummer ’Artur Pinto’ provides with his tight and powerful rhythms a sophisticated and solid fundament.

Furistic is a very expressive band that loves to whip live crowds. Their songs are of a great variety and reflect on different moods, such as: happiness, sadness, craziness and despair. The individual, musical and emotional development of the musicians is important in the writing process. The musicians find their challenge in being true to themselves, to their music and to their audience.

Furistic was founded by the Romanian-Dutch singer ‘Jolene Grunberg’ and ‘Woody Bekers’ in 2004, after meeting each other on a virtual community for musicians. However, they really hit it off in 2006, when they were accompanied by ‘Artur Pinto’. Since then the band has played several gigs on main stages in the Netherlands, such as: Paradiso, The Melkweg and Tivoli. They also played at different well known festivals. They won several prices, including the award: The best live act of the province Utrecht. Besides performing live, the band has also concentrated on writing new songs in the studio. This resulted in a great variety of dark, melodic, art songs. They released their first Ep at 31st of May 2007, which contained the songs: Queen, Stalker, and Desert. Jack Pisters and Maurice Bom were the producer/engineer and eventually Attie Bauw mastered the music. In 2008 the band plans to release their new songs digitally through their website. The critics and the fans have received the Ep very well.
