Blog
Hi Folks...
it's night, I can spot a beautiful starry sky from the window on the roof, my monitor is the only light around and speakers are doing their job creating the right atmosphere.
I am enjoying the first day of a well deserved week off from work! It's incredible how many things you can think about when your mind is free, it's the best feeling ever!
AS many of you know... I have been promoting my music in here with all my enthusiasm and spirit getting so great feedbacks, but there's still something that leaves a little bitter taste around.
I mean, I am a lucky man whose life is mainly dedicated to work, family, love, and music. time ago, instead of spending for silly stuff, I saved some money to realize a longtime dream... producing a record.
I wrote the songs and presented to such a great maestro (Stefano Borzi) who decided to co-produce them... we started working together recording with the best musiscians around and the result came out really superlative.
I spent every single night hoping and wishing for those songs, or maybe for me, a future in music... working hard on it, so I:
- Wrote the songs
- Co-produced the record
- Travelled every single night to Rome in the studio after work
- I bought a little professional cd production system to present the "demos" better way
- Mailed cds all over the world to A&Rs, Djs, Friends, Uknown people
- So many Djs from both UK and USA gave me great feedbacks, suggestions and a good part is airing my songs.
After all this I am still spending nights surfing the web, looking for people, keeping on trying and being positive but...
I just wonder what damn shall I do more than this!?!?!?!?!?
that is a true mistery... maybe it's just matter of matching the right minute, with the right person at the right moment. It might be even some of you while reading this right now, or it might just be no one.
It's so hard going on being positive when every night I fall asleep, and think about it, I do close my eyes with this bitter sweet doubt.
it's difficult to live when you're so sensitive.
I just wanted to write this down for all the people who are in my same boat, and for all the ones whose job in life is to discover new talents... well, before doing a favour to your next friend, just open your eyes and ears, since this place is quite full of fantastic people who will be the next music Lions!
a big hug to everybody!
much love

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have $9999 or less in budget on 25 October.
This is a great opportunity for you. Let all your believers know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate to the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
Hope you join in on the fun and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!
