Enzo Ferlazzo (Guitar, 27), Antonio Machera (guitar, 29), Fabrizio Machera (Drums, 28) and Michele Garolla (Keyboards, 28) started HERALDRY in 1995. Their background is very similar and comes from bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Yes, Asia. The first singer was replaced firstly by Max Romano, then by Davis Mastrantonio to find at last the perfect singer in Giovanni Polizzi. All this, added to the talentuous bass player Marco Machera (18), forms the framework of the band.   During the years HERALDRY had been playing to a loyal and expanding following after booking a lot of gigs expecially in Italy. In January 1996 the band released its first demo tape called “The Fortune Teller” that became a sort of “rare underground masterpiece”. In May 2003 HERALDRY released a 7 songs CD titled “Shadows of Ancient skies” which sold out its first pressing of 5000 copies within the first year. The gigs for the promotion of the album showed the power of the band as a live act and the climax was reached in a tour supporting the former Iron Maiden singer Paul Dianno.  At present the band is recording the second album which will be titled “Delirium” that will be released approsimatively in September 2006. Heraldry played a lot of shows in Italy and had a great performance in the Classic Metal festival in Chicago on 14th May 2005 where they’ve been invited as the only guest from abroad! In December the band played some shows in Europe supporting the finnish folk metal band Korpiklaani with a great response of the audience. In April it has to be mentioned the gig supporting the King Crimson singer Adrian Belew.

The band HERALDRY is a very strong outfit with progressive elements mixed with the power metal fundamentals. They are very enjoyable to listen to and should be extremely great to watch live.”
