Jaime's Smile_

We are a rock band from the suburbs of new york city.

Since the summer of 2005 we have wrritten a lot of songs, played a lot of shows and met a lot of great people. We have traveled up and down the east coast in our old van playing our music sometimes to packed out clubs and sometimes to just three or four friends. We'll take it either way.

Our first show was at a run-down club a few blocks from the port authority in manhattan. The guy at the door told us that we couldn't load in because the owner of the club was having a meeting with the landlord. Apparently the landlord wanted to close down the club that night. Somehow the club owner got the club to stay opened that night and after the hardcore japanese band did their thing we first took stage as jaime's smile.

Since then, we have become to be known for our live shows. We all feed off the energy created through our music and our fans. From John's relentless pounding of the drums, to Torey's deep grooving bass lines, to Chuck's intricate leads, and Nick's powerful rhythms and lead vocals we all work off each other's pure energy and literally rock the stage.

We also put in a lot of hours in the studio writing and arranging our music to create a unique sound. We always start with a blank canvass with everyone adding their own style to the final product. Sometimes it turns out to be an acoustic ballad with a beautifully orchestrated string section like "Girls Who Steal Sweatshirts." Sometimes it will be a reggae rock song with gang vocals in the hook like "Typical Night." And we always love writing the straight up killer rock tunes like "Something You Don't Know" and "You're Wrong."

Having people listening to our music is the most rewarding aspect of being an artist. Our music is something that we create, that we believe in, and once you listen to one of our songs we consider you part of the Jaime's Smile family.
