March 25, 2008: The new full length album is OUT NOW!
Melodic chillout electronica with dreampop, shoegaze and postrock influences. A blend of ambient electronica and structures, melodies, and rhythms. A connection between the elongated ambience of Boards of Canada and the guitar-sourced drones and sweeps of My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. Echoing chords, playful melodies and lush, warm sounds. "This Is Where We'll End" is enchanting and epic...

Order a high quality direct download or CD in the japjap.net shop.

March 02, 2008: New Jap Jap album!
The EP that was planned for a release on Ronin Collective is cancelled as Ronin Collective suddenly seized to exist: Labelowner Vince pulled the plug... The good news is that the EP has evolved to a full length album with 12 great new tracks! The album "This Is Where We'll End" will be released on Dutch online distributor DJTRX. The releasedate is set for the 25th of march. The album features vocals from Lonneke (NL), the chapman stick by Fucisticko (IT) and a remix by the talented Morgenfish (NL). The track "All For You" was inspired by a track written by good friend and fan Anto Dudgeon (UK). So... stay tuned, the waiting is almost over! Listen to previews from the tracks in the releases section!

Hey Jap Jap,

I like your music but I miss some activity here on SAB (last update mar 21th).
You might be busy with other things, I understand, but it means you stay on my wishlist a little longer before I decide to believe...

I've had the fortune to meet Jap Jap and it's clear music is his life.

Whow... this guy knows how to build great soundscapes with great melody and funk! Jasper, you deserve to be the first electronic music artist to reach the $50.000 on SellABand!

If you're a fan of Bent or Röyksopp, buy him a part ;)

Jap Jap is an upcoming Chillout Electronica artist. His music has a very special sound and is very relaxing, yet very interesting and full of discoveries to be made.
"Now that you're here" is my favourite.
Thank you for making musik, Jap Jap!

Jap Jap is an awesome Electronica artist who deserves far more recognition than the listeners he get though the brilliant online music community, last.fm Although his music is easily recognised as being in the same arena as artists such as Ulrich Schnauss, he has a definite personal edge that makes his music instantly recognisable.
