I'm an Italian musician: born in Bologna, 1980, i live in Pesaro.
I'm a guitar player at first, graduated in Classical Guitar and self-taught jazzist and composer. I generally prefer little combos to play jazz.
This time, however, i've tried to reach another dimension: the quintet.
So i decided to write down a kind of music in which i'm not much skilled.
I'm lucky to have found four friends and great musicians as the ones that follow me in this project.
JaX means basically "not properly jazz" :)
Jazz is surely the main influence: but we all come from classical, rock, metal or fusion and cannot ignore our background. In fact, even if this is "my own" project, i wish to listen ALL of their personality in my music. So, if they play what they are / what they have studied, it's matematical: we won't play jazz, but... JaX.
