Why should you believe in me??? Music is like breathing, it's who I am. Every word that I sing must have meaning, whether I've written the lyric or am singing another writers words. I'm experienced in the studio & on stage, dedicated, fiercely determined, hard working & sincere about the music, the people I work with & the friends & fans that support my work. Music is my full time job & I've been performing since I was about 3 years old. As a little girl growing up in NJ, my time was spent in the mirror singing into a hairbrush...to Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, The Beatles & everyone that I was inspired by.

I've recorded & performed with unbelievable people......musicians from The SNL Band, Blues Brothers Band, Late Show with Letterman Band, The Headhunters, Darlene Love, Ben E. King, The Spin Doctors, Hall & Oates, The Jazz Expressions, Bette Midler.......I've taken private voice, piano & guitar lessons for most of my life & I've also studied formally in The Jazz Program at The New School, NYC. My background is in Blues & Jazz, but I'd never feel complete as an artist limiting myself, so I dabble in every style that moves me.....as you can hear from my Cd.

For the past 8 years or so, I've had a blast performing in Europe, Asia, The Netherlands & of course, my good ole' USA. Touring is one of my favorite things about being a musician! Waking up in new cities, meeting new friends, learning about other cultures....it's all so amazing. When I'm not on the road, I'm recording, writing, collaborating with friends & looking ahead to my next project.

Currently, I'm writing & recording demos for my next disc....hoping to have it released early next year. I'm also a part of The Collaboration Project here on SAB & I look forward to teaming up with some inspiring people for that.

It's a beautiful time here in NJ. Not quite Fall yet, but the weather is beginning to change & the cool air is coming in, I just love it! I can't believe that summer is over, Fall is almost here & '09 is only a few months away....it's just crazy. I'm thrilled to be a part of Phil's Dream Team that he's debuted today. What fun & what great women to be on a team with! I'm also working in the studio trying to get my disc out asap. Hope all of you are fantastic & enjoying your piece of the world. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! It's summer here, all of the great NYC outdoor gigs have started & the Jersey Shore scene is full under way. Time has been fleeting since my return from Italy 5.23. Besides the Cd, studio work & gigs, my main goal is to get to The Netherlands for some gigs & meet & greets with all of the great supporters out there. I'll keep you posted!!! Stay cool in this heat & have a cocktail or two! ;-)

I'm getting ready for a 2 week trip in Italy, leaving tomorrow. It's a holiday with a little business thrown in of course. It's a rainy night in Jersey & I'm sitting at my mac, looking at my parts sold $2330....in one month! It's because of all of you & I'm so thankful for every part, every email & every sweet word of support. It's my one month anniversary here on SAB & I wanted to thank all of you for getting on board early with me, to make us rise to 50k together. I honestly didn't know what to expect, when a manager suggested that I join on here....but it's exceeded my expectations & I've met such kind, sincere people here.

Thank you for making this month a memorable one & for giving me something new & exciting to aspire to! My career is wonderful & I've always felt very lucky with what I've done so far.....this is the icing on the cake....the big cherry on the sundae....the extra tequila in the margarita!!!

What a great week it's been here! I'm really excited to be a part of Peter Abrahamse's giveaway this month! It's too soon to tell, but so far I'm doing really well thanks to all of you who have voted for me. :-) It's a blistery, snowy day out here in NJ, but I love it!!! Thank you SO much for making "Down On Your Luck" Song of the week on Talentcast! How cool is that??? I'm so excited to have you all embrace the track that was the least favorite in my review....because it's actually one of my favorites on the Cd. I appreciate the support & voting so much, thank you!!! In the US, today is The Superbowl. I have to say, I'm not a sports fan of any kind....but since the NY Giants are in it, if I were watching it I'd be routing for them. Hope they win one for us! :-) GO GIANTS!!!!

Having a rainy day in Jersey.....It's been so chilly here, freezing temps & wind-chill....then the next day, it's sunny & warm. Just crazy! But the good thing about staying indoors, is that it's a great time to write, practice & listen to some great tunes..... relaxing actually. I'm a winter gal, so I can't complain. I actually love the crisp air & there's nothing better than snow. I'd take 10 inches of snow over a hot summer day, any day! :-)

In my opinion Jennifer Berdetta is one of if not the most talented person on the Sellaband site! I know that this is a strong statement and I can back it up! Jenn's songwriting skills are enviable. Her ability to cut through and get to the point is something that I am still trying to learn to do myself as a writer. Her hooks are catchy and uplifting! This is what makes a great radio friendly artist! Now the voice! Jenn's voice can go from fluid to having just the right amount grit. She approaches lyrics with both sensitivity and great technique. When she tells you a story she reels you in! This takes skill and is not an easy feat. Jenn's spirit shines through with every word, breathe and nuance! And to top all of this off she is one of the most genuine, kind, cool and down to earth people that anyone could ever know! So come on get on the Jennifer Berdetta bandwagon now! And if you are already a fan buy one more part today! Let's get Jenn into the studio and recording her SAB album as soon as possible! She has got "it" and she will not let us down!!!
