Jion got together in Rome (Italy) in November, 2003.  We are three piece alternative-rock band.  The name “Jion” come from the word katà used in karate to mean a togetherness of movements representing a fortress. We have a full schedule of live performances in various venues in Italy and have a large following, and have received airplay on local radio station including Radio Rock. Our first Ep “Testing the ground” showcases our first five songs, since then we have written many others. Our live set covers over and hour of original music and our repertoire is constantly expanding and evolving. Furthermore, thanks to our determination and our Ep, which has received more and more attention from those in the music business, we were invited to take part in a showcase event, the M.E.I. (Meeting of Independent Labels) in Faenza, Italy. Where we presented our video for “I’m not the kind”. In Spring-Summer 2005 we played in various Competitions and Festivals and we won the “La Selva D’Oro” in Vetralla (Italy) and took 3rd   place at the  SAN REMO ROCK FESTIVAL, and also we were guest performers on “La Fabbrica della Musica” on the National TV channel RAI Futura. In Autumn 2005  2nd  Ep “One to One” receiving glowing reviews, and we were invited for second time to perform in the MEI Festival. In June 2006 we performed on the famous national music TV show “Red Ronnie’s Roxy Bar” where others acts like Placebo and REM have appeared. Now our new single “Never Change Yourself” is receiving a lot of airplay on world wide Radio like Radio Onda Brasil or Total Rock Radio Uk. We had also played on November 2006 at the “Oh!Bar” in Camdem Town in London…Currently we have no label or manager, we hope that will change soon!
