Having been a songwriter for just over ten years John has finally come into his own.
With his blend of Folk, Pop and Funk john hopes to bring a sense of style to the often miserable singer-songwriter idiom.
Posted up here are rough songs recorded on a laptop, don't expect perfection just yet! Still getting my head around the software I'm using!

Been a while since I have been back here, just been so darn busy! Trying to get final demos finished of "True Love" and new song "A long time". Tongue tied is taking shape a bit better than it is on here, I just need to re-record guitars with my new microphone!

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
