A Song a week:
This week the first song! It's called "Walk You Home" and has been written during some Monsieur Cannibale sessions. The song wasn't quite what the band wanted, but it was a typical John C Fraser song. Therefor this song has been recorded for John C Fraser. The song is about living with or without somebody. About the regret you can get onnce you've decided to leave someone.
Lyrics:
Saw You Standing Alone
Decided to walk you home
put my coat on your shoulder
for a kiss on the cheek
tried to catch me some sleep
as I watched you breath
but when I looked you in the eyes
I thought I saw you weep
I wondered why
would she cry?
Because I won't leave you twice
on the same night my love
I wondered about tonight
and the things that ain't right
And I won't leave you twice my love
'cause it's you
that's by my side
baby it's you
I want tonight
Welcome to my profile I hope you all enjoy my tunes!

Found a flyer!? NICE!
English (dutch below)
When you read this you've probably found a John C Fraser flyer! That's a great thing because it made you curious and you've decided to surf on over to this site! So what is this all about? To cut it short this website is all about bands trying to find investors to record a new cd. There is a lot of musical talent out their that remains unheard, this website gives them an opportunity to gather "believers" (people who like the music and are willing to invest) who will give them an opportunity to record their record!
If you're deciding to invest you can buy "parts" in the new record. Each part costs $10 dollars (6 euro's 10). The whole record process will start when an artist has gathered 5000 parts ($50,000) from this money the record will be recorded and produced. What's in it for you!? For every part you've invested you will recieve a Limited Edition CD! If you've invested more parts you can sell these CD's to friends and family (or give them away for a christmas present). Besides that everyone who will invest in me through this flyer action will recieve a free 10 track download of "John C Fraser's Storytellers" 10 songs with the story behind the songs! If you have any questions feel free to mail me at : johncfrasermusic@gmail.com!

Maar: What's in it for you!? Wanneer je vragen hebt: feel free to mail me: johncfrasermusic@gmail.com

For a long time I've been sceptic about it: The Internet! It seemed that some people began to see it as a religion. Back in the days the church had the answer to "everything" and now the internet has the answer to everything...
But people and opinions can change, and so did mine. I started to travel a lot after I finished high school and accompanied with my guitar I started to write new songs. And as it goes in the music buizz when you write songs the sooner or the later you will be "discovered" by what they call "the major league". I had the fortune to be one of them discoveries.
All seemed nice and good until I read the contract. The first thing I said after reading it was: "I thought we were talking about making music here!?" I won't bother you with the pro's and con's but all in all it had very little to do with music!
And that's when I discovered internet and this beautiful site. I decided to wait a while and record some demo songs and post them online to hear what you people think!
In the meantime I hope to find some people who are willing to invest in a record that is about the music!
Therefor I have written a (as you call it) 50k plan that consists 4 main points:
1. Produce a record with at least 14 songs
2. A Bonus DVD for believers with a documentary about recording the record
3. Live internet downloads of live shows for everyone who has bought the record
4. a promotional tour throughout Europe and the United States
- For every "believer" who invest in me will recieve a live MP3 of the song "Head to my Heart" or "27 Times".
- If you're willing to invest 8 parts or more you will recieve the 10 track live album that is about to be released in june as a download-only album for free!
I Hope you guys can proove me that there is more in the music buiz then profit and merchandise!
John

John,
Good stuff man. Don't change a thing. It's peaceful and mellow but subtle and beatiful.

Hi John.
Don't usually reply to many mails. I'm not investing for the minute. Maybe again in May. But you seem genuinely keen for feedback, so here goes.
To my ear, 27 times is potential goer. I realise it's a WIP, but I'd start fingering as you do, build up with just 2 repetitionsYou intro the music egg (is it?) in about the right pace. You go voiceless after that which is okay but I'd really expect a powerful chorus before, or certainly after, that. Held my breath waiting, and then it ended (all be it nicely, but without hitting the spot).
For a chorus, maybe start strumming (perhaps quite heavily) with the pick -- I guess a similar pattern of chords to those you're fingering -- and more volume/resonance in your vocals if your voice is up to it.
You could then go back to the softer sound again and start building again (probably one, mayne two more times). It's the contrast that I missed ... for what it's worth.
Best of luck
