Lapser

It all started at Kaitaia College in the far northern reaches of New Zealand, Jake Reid and Harlem Mckenzie started the first incarnation of what was to become Lapser. Several line up changes later, and the band arrived at it's strongest and most musically diverse line up yet. With the addition of Kelly Bracewell on drums and Jeff Mauroa on Bass, Lapser could then realise any musical idea that could be mustered from our creative juices.

Lapser is now more a family than just another band, with our minds set firmly on one goal which is to play music together for a living. We are just four regular guys who work hard everyday.

Lapser is not a band that follows trends, we aren't about slogans, gimmicks, cliches or smoke and mirrors, we just play good honest music, with a story to be told with each song. Lapser is just four good friends playing music together and having fun doing it. We've been at it for a while, but the timing has never been right until now. With all of us focused on our little family, we are making a concentrated effort to succeed in what we love doing.

Thanks for taking time out to check out our band. Come see our myspace page at-

What Adam Sieff said in the sellaband tribune

But to kick off our three Golden Apples of Distinction this week it’s off to Hamilton, New Zealand, the home of Lapser, whose name according to the band means “someone who lapses”. Well it certainly doesn’t look like anyone was lapsing when it came to the music – this is high quality rock that’s written, performed and produced with great skill and passion. “All A Dream” is immediately accessible and full of hooks and along with the heavier “Ten Dolls” and the acoustic “I Could Cry” features excellent vocal arrangements that really make this band stand out from their contemporaries. Their website is under construction and their myspace site doesn’t give much away, so more information is urgently needed. But this is a band to be reckoned with, and if they get their Sellaband act together they’ll do jut fine.

Howdy!

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!

If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have $9999 or less in budget on 25 October.

This is a great opportunity for you. Let all your believers know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.

Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate to the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."

Hope you join in on the fun and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!

Heey guys...you're on my wishlist, just have to wait till my bankaccount is topped up :P.
Very good and original sound, with influences from Faith No more, Incubus, 24-7 Spyz and a bit of Tool, not the least to be compared with, respect
