Layout is a project from Oporto, Portugal originally formed in 2001 and later re-structured. By 2004 the actual formation was defined and compromises: Pedro Palha (vox), André Figueiredo (drummer) and Xavier (Guitarist) as the fundamental nuclei, but also Bruno Macedo (Guitarist), Miguel Santos (Bass player), Jorge Jacinto (guitarist) and António Figueiredo (keyboards) as invited performing artists.

Each member gives the band an influence about the performing genre and the result is an harmonious rock/pop/brit-pop.

Layout’s sound has captured the attention of Saul Davies (former James) which promptly accepted to work with them, producing and mastering two songs for Layout’s first single cd “Believe in Hope”: “Believe in hope” and “In the mud”; “Dreams in Braille” and “Ghost of you” are the other songs included on the single cd.

“Believe in Hope” single cd shows a perfect musical symbiosis where all boundaries find themselves for this band.

Layout’s live performance gives you a proof of their ambition to assume a good position in their style and shows you their energy, serenity and vitality. They already appeared next to international stars such as Reamon, Despina Vandi, Jerrel and Mousse T at some music festivals in their home country.

The band is now recording it’s first album that should be ended during this year of 2007.
