The LoP-SidEd are officially born in 2004. After many changes of musicians, the band is finally formed by Rebecca Basso (voice), Luca Bozzato (synth and programming), Matteo Rossi (guitar), Antonio Carlos Velleca Gomes (bass), Emanuele Carraro (drum) and Duccio de Rossi (wind instruments).
Initially born from an idea of Luca and Rebecca, this musical project has involved many musicians. To their music were given different genres, to which were often opposed: the band was rewarded in two national italian contests with the "originality" award. Their music alternates moments of intense passional surge to more intimate and delicate sound. Sweet.
The sound is sofisticated, it's often simple and soft, sometimes it's rough and powerful. There are no landmarks in their music... because the LoP-SidEd are lop-sided!
During their career, the band got many satisfactions: "Best Live Performer"-Kosarock '06 Italian National contest; "Originality award"- Samigo Top 100 '06 Italian National Contest withdrawed at MEI (Meeting of indipendent labels) of Faenza; "Originality award"- Sotterranea 07 Italian National Contest.
They have been inteviewed by many radios and by Paper Channel.
Some of their songs become part of many compilations: Rocksano 2006, Kosarock 2006, Samigo Top 100 n°6 2006, Sotterranea 2007, Overunderground 2007.
The LoP-SidED received appreciations by critics of national press and of on-line musical fanzine for the compositions and for their strong scenic presence in live performance.
Actually they have produced 3 cd: "He Loves Her To Distraction" (2005- 60' of totally improvised music); "Promo (2006- 5 self-produced tracks); "ALTeRED" (2007- 4 tracks professionally recordered in Studio).
