Okej. The gigs went well. Very well. Today I have a gige at this cruise line called Hopealinja http://www.hopealinja.fi/ I'll perform ther for 2 hours. It's a pretty long time, but it's usually cool, because the cruise line is a fun place to be in. Water everywere around. It's kind of traditionla also. Finnish people cruising, eating, listening to live music and having fun. But now I'll have to go!

Sorry that it has taken so long since I wrote last time. I've been really busy working here at the newspaper called Kymen Sanomat in Hamina, Finland. I have done several gigs here and people here are offering even more. It's up to me how much I can do them. Mainly I have been spending my time at Hyöky beside my work. That is a boat at the harbour of Hamina: http://www.hyoky.net/. Really cool place.  Full of see things. They have a stage in front of the boat and many artist (for example http://www.pellemiljoona.net/) play there - me included. We've had great evenings.  I also got a huge change to play at Junnu Vainio exhibition at Valokuvakekus, Kotka 23th of this month. Junnu Vainio is one of the greatest songwriters in Finland. He is dead already, but his songs remain. At this exhibition, there will be photos of him. That is why I have been unactive here at Sellaband. I had to press one sigle which I can sell there then.

So much have happened. I moved to Hamina to work as a journalist for the summer. Beside that I have written 3 new songs with piano. There is a piano at my apartment. Thta is wonderful. I have also been doing shows at this cruise line I very much like. My life is full of art at the moment. Paintings, writings and songs. I couldn't hope for more. Next week you can find two new paintings of mine. They are very special to me. I hope they will become that for you too. But keep it cool ok? And remember to spend time with art!

I was very hard to get up this morning. My eyes were really heavy, but after drinking many cups of tea I'm starting to feel pretty good. The sun is shining outside and people seem happy. That is rear in Finland, because usually people are used to look stressed. What a lovely country.

I wrote a song yesterday. I got inspired after taking a long walk in the forrest. It was already evening and the sun was starting to come down, but everything looked perfect. Then I came home, sit down and started to write. I wrote a song about a woman, who I'd seen in Tv. She was studying to become a doctor and she was pretty, but she lived double life. Every evening she went out to find a man to have sex with. Though she was doing that, she didn't like what she was doing. She was miserable and looked so unhappy that I really started to feel sorry for her. That's how my lyrics were born.

But now I have to start to work to organize some gigs tomyself for the coming fall. The whole summer I will work at a newspaper called Kymen Sanomat as a journalist and also be singing at cruise line called Hopealinja, but beside my school, I don't have any gigs for the fall. I have no clue why the mornings are so hard to me. It reminds me of my song To speak with you, where I sing "To wake up eyes heavy as stones". I got the same feeling right now. I need to do one essey to my school (The Baltic Film and Media School). That will be the last one and then the semester is over -  thank god. Then I have time to do music for a few weeks before I have to head to Hamina (Town in Finland) to work as a journalist for 10 weeks. That is nice because there is a piano in the apartment where I'm staying.

Yesterday I read Beatrix Potter's stories. Do you remember her, lady who lived in the 1800 century, but was strong enough to create wonderful art. Her children's books are still read around the world. What a wonderful lady. I like her way to draw and I like the strongness in her. By the way, have you heard Israel Kamakawiwo'ole singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow? You can find it from www.youtube.com. He got the spirit. I practised the song yesterday, because I have to sing that at weddings 7th of June. You can sense the summer in that song. But now I have to go and work. Stay strong and remember to smile, life is fun!

Good morning for everyone. Today I decided to take a day off from music making. That is good sometimes. I still have one week before my school is over for this spring, but I'm already in the mood for holiday.

I took a long walk yesterday evening. I took my time to look at the trees, flowers and views around. There are so many wondeful things in the nature. Everything's special. Like my grandmom said: "Look all those people. They are all human beings but different from each other. There's God there as well". This sentence really stopped me and I started to think about it.  Every one IS special. You can find something new from everyone. These sentences arise from the exhibition about the war in Finland. When Finnish people were fighting against each other in the 1918 (From january to may). We went to see it with my grandmom. It was a really good exhibition in Vapriikki (in the city of Tampere) but told about horrible things. How is it possible that people from the same country are shooting each othe? My grandpa, before he died, said that when he took part in the winterwar (1939-1949) in Finland against Russian, he had always thought that why on earth does he have to shoot people he just had Mahorka with. Yes, but these are things only rear people understand. But what I wanted to say, the exhibition was fantastic. Now I have to start working again. Enjoy the sun, if it's shining at your place. Keep it cool!
