13.01.08 Great gig in Punta del este. Rob Nokes´s Rock Asado II was a great success. The band got beautiful feedback.

11.12.07 Hey sorry its been a while since our last blog entry. We are all studying a lot for our respective university exams. We had some differences regarding band objectives with our drummer, so, once again, we have a new one. His name is Santiago Lenoble (see photo section), he is 21 very talented and has a very nice style, so we hope he will add a lot to the band. Our first gig with him was the Christian Rocks and it went very well! These days we are practicing for a few summer gigs outside Montevideo, so we are very excited as its the first time we play in other cities.

In other terms, we are participating in Sommersby´s Christmas Competition with our new track "Christmas Light". So if you like it, go vote for us!!! Just send a PM to Sommersby saying you vote for our song. It will  mean a lot in these quiet times.

27.11.07: Hi again. Just wanted to tell you we had an amazing evening at the "Christian Rocks". We played together with more than 6 very classy Rock acts. The place was crowded despite the very cold weather, so the fund raise was a  success.  Hopefully we´ll upload some pictures.

Now Bonnie is working on a New song "Christmas Light". Coming very soon!

13.10.07: Just came from the studios. We recorded "Shine on you" today, it should be ready by Tuesday!! Be prepared.

10.10.07: Nico could work out his personal stuff so now he is back on board! Welcome again Nico to the band!! We are so happy to have you back! We want to thank Manu, he did a great job this short time in the band.

06.08.07: Our former school (Christian Brother´s College) is organizing a fund raising event this november called "Christian Rocks". Almost 10 rock bands formed by school members will be performing and BONNIE will be the last act of the evening. The money raised will go to build houses for a very poor village called "Villa del Chancho". Santiago (Tati) is in charge of auditioning the bands for the event.

19.09.07: We just uploaded two cover songs we were asked to record as a Demo for some clubs. They are our last work with Nico. Hope you like them!

15.09.07: For different personal reasons BONNIE lost Nico, the drummer a few days ago. After auditioning a few guys we finally took our decision and tonight it was our first rehearsal with 18 yr old Manuel Branáa. We think he has got the talent and the motivation we are looking for! So welcome Manu!

12.09.07: We had to suspend a gig tonight (an acoustic set) cause the venue was outdoors and we have a thunderstom! :( Anyways, we will make it next week or the other.

05.09.07: Well im working on myspace right now, im not very "cybernetic" so I dont really know how to make it interesting, but I´ll give it a try. Come and add us as your friend!

25.08.07: Happy Independence Day Uruguay!!

24.08.07: Every 24th August, Uruguay celebrates the "Nostalgia Night", dedicated to Oldies Music, from the 60s to the 90s. Millions of parties are held all around the country and it is said to be the day where most people in Uruguay go out at night. Bonnie had to be there. We played a 40 min repertoire of Oldies from the Beatles to Queen. Great night, great party!

18.08.07: We are off to the "Recording Studio" (Jero´s House) today, to record "The one for me". Its a very pretty song; music by Lucho and lyrics by Sofi. This time, Lucho also plays the piano!! We hope the results come as we expect. We´ll have it ready in a few days time. We´ll let you know.

05.08.07  "Triste Historia" was the first song Lucho ever composed (both music and lyrics). The guitar solo and arrangements are done by Jero. The title means "Sad Story" and it talks about a love that life broke appart.

31.07.07: Happy 21st Birthday SOFI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05.07.07: After two busy months rehearsing for different gigs, we finally hit the studio today to start recording "Triste Historia" and "Forgotten". We are very happy with what we came up with so far. We are sure we are in the making of two great songs. Sadly (or not!), we are very busy with our live shows so we have little spare time to record, but we are working as hard as we can. We´ll have the songs ready by mid july. And we assure you, they are worth waiting for.

25.06.07: We changed the name of the band!! WHY??

When Lucho (bass guitar player) started writing songs, he recorded all the instruments and vocals in his computer, under the name of what would be a virtual band called Luchomax16. As people started listening to his songs, he was asked to play live, so a couple of months ago he called Tati, Jero, Nico and Sofia to form a band. Given the fact that the band is no longer "Lucho and his computer", we thought Luchomax16 was not representing us as a whole band. So, we started thinking of new potential names and we came up with BONNIE, as we wanted a short, easy-to-remember name, that could be understood and pronounced in many languages.

Mind we are exactly the same band, we just changed the name!!
