Info

Malicious Dream is a band that is able to combine atmosphere and melody with aggression and energy. Both metal and (progressive) rock influenced have been woven into what they like to call melodic metal. Their music is heavily influenced by bands like; Opeth, My Dying Bride, Moonspell and Anathema.

Anton Heesterbeek – Guitar / Vocals

Ben van Asselt – Guitar / Vocals

Kim 'Stitch' – Bass

Rick Vermeulen – Drums

In 2003, the first Malicious Dream demo called ‘Open Fields…’ was recorded. This is a collection of 5 songs totaling about 25 minutes of music.

‘Innersensis’ is the latest recording of Malicious Dream. While staying true to the original atmospheric sound, they now sound more mature and solid, with an overall heavier sound.

De Gouden Leeuw

It was a good evening/night last Saturday in ‘De Gouden Leeuw’ in Dongen. Five bands were lined up to perform on this evening, and we were the ones to kick-off. It was nice to see that there were already a lot of visitors at the start of the evening. We got a chance to try out one of our new songs, and we enjoyed playing a 45 min. set again. Many thanks to William, the singer of ‘Foretold’, for arranging this evening! We had a good time and we enjoyed listening to the other bands, although I am not sure Anton remembers every part of it J

Ojc Todo Best

After nine months of not performing, it was finally time to get back on stage last Saturday. Since we hadn’t performed in such a long time, and this would be our first gig with our new bass-player Stitch, we made sure that we were well prepared. The other bands that performed on this evening were Farsot, Negura Bunget and The Vision Bleak. For them, this show was part of a tour, and we got to play as the local support. The gig took place at JC Todo in Best, which is a really nice venue. It all went really well, and we enjoyed playing our songs live again. Many thanks to Daan van der Vleuten, who organized the evening! Meanwhile, we are working on our new songs, and we are looking forward to presenting this on stage. Our next gig will be on the 16th of February, where we will play two new songs. We hope to see you there!
