We are the Maze Band and we are really excited with the possibility of exposing our music here on Sellaband. Enjoy it  =]

We do not believe in the models the music commerce have being using for years (and they insist on using). That's why we are here.


We have a history being a japanese rock cover band (J-ROCK), we used to play covers from Gackt, L'arc~en~Ciel, Dir en Grey. And we still carry influences from them and many other artists such X Japan and Siam Shade.

Now that we feel ready to compose, we started our project and recording. It's a new beginning.

We also decided to write our songs in english, since it is an international language.

We just finished our demo CD (09/2007) with 11 musics. We did that with our resources, it wasn't easy, and it is indeed what you are hearing just a DEMO. A profissional recording would be much, much more artistic, much more flawless.

THE MAZE PROJECT

The Maze is:

Yes, there are a lot of people inside this Maze Band. 7 to be specific. Did I forget someone??
ps: just joking.. hehe :)

Also, you might tell that we have a lot of different genres inside this band. This may be because we have a lot of people? Probably.
Could this be because we are from Brazil, and have influences from various artists including even japanese bands? Most probably.
Or could this happen to be because we have 3 different singers and each one of them have his particular way of singing? Well, I dunno.

It is almost sure that if we blend it all we got an answer, thats what's inside the Maze.

Right now we have 3 albums (they are not officially launched, and not everyone of them are complete/recorded). By now (31/10/2007) we have recorded the DEMO of some musics from all the albums.

The Albums

• Tainted
• The Way to Feel

These are the Albums we pretend to launch in a short future, this is our project and how our musics are divided by category and the feeling they pretend to expose.

In this profile I tried to put one music from every album we have being working on.

Every album carry the name of a music that represents it.

Album name : Music Name

• Restless Heart : I'll Believe
• Tainted : Marionett
• The Way to Feel : The Way to Feel

As you may have noticed, The Way to Feel is the name of a music, and it is a name of one of our albums. The other albums also have one music that carries their name and represents it.

The albums of the band have different lyrics, different rythms and different genres.
It is very difficult to insert our band just into one genre, since our musics varies way too much.

We tried to classify our style into the albums, but remember that sometimes they may not fit very well, since even inside the albums our music does not have a complete equal pattern.

The Album Restless Heart is a Progressive Rock with Gothic elements
The Album Tainted is so much heavyer, Progressive Gothic/Metal
The Album The Way to Feel is a powerfull Progressive Pop/Rock
