‘One and one is Mitsu’

European powerpop trio Mitsu make twenty-first century rock with noticeable ifluences of the roots of popular music. They experiment with sounds from the era of (glam-)rock, punk and funk (the 70ties) but find inspiration in the young groups from the indie charts as well.

Sisters Bambi (guitar and lead-vocals) and Shelley (drums and vocals) front Mitsu.

Both Bambi and Shelley like simple, compact pop songs in their purest form. Aware of the limitations that three peace bands have, Bambi and Shelley take arranging their songs very serious. To compensate the small band setup, they try to make everything sound a little louder, deeper and heavier which makes the vocals and backing vocals sound from alienated to angelic.

Being sisters, Bambi and Shelley started playing together and writing their own songs at a very early age. When they were just 12 and 9 years old they did their first gig amplified by a full pa-system on a local festival. Shelley since then traded the bass for the drums and their musical ways separated for a few years, but they found each other again. They are ready to blow you away.

Today our website is online again. You can listen to and download all eight songs we recorded in June for our demo. Also we decided that everyone who buys 10 parts or more receives our cd (that sounds much better than mp3 and has a really nice sleave) for free. We’ll ask for your address by e-mail.
